The check in staff, and daily staff were pleasant. Our room was clean and up to regular hotel standards. Ice machine on my floor was broken, but there were 3 or 4 others that worked. Gym was nice. I cycled daily. Breakfast was hot and plentiful, simple, but adequate. This hotel is on 2 Major Bus routes and walkable to many shopping 🛍 locations, fast food and even an Applebee's. Now... it is the hood, and their were the usual foot folks, but harmless... We will return with others... Price was good too

We really liked this hotel. Nice staff. The room was great--especially the breakfast, shower and the makeup mirror in the bathroom. Plus frig, microwave, coffeemaker. It was quiet--not sure if they ever get noisy kids from the sports complex nextdoor, but, they didn't the weeknights we stayed.

BTW, we did the Barber Museum and the Birmingham Botanical gardens (excellent giftshop) while here for a concert at the Coke Amphitheater. Highly recommend Birmingham, our first visit, not just driving by!

Staying with my family here. Floors were dirty. There was a dead roach on the floor when we arrived.... No bed bugs though so that's good.

No spare towels anywhere to be found.. people getting to the hotel later at night likely don't want to go all the way down to the front desk to get a towel.. for a room with 2 full beds and a pullout couch there should be more than 2 towels.

Location wise... I know there's nothing the workers can do about it but this definitely isn't the safest area. We got woken up around midnight to listen to a nearby store alarm go off because they had been robbed I suppose. But we checked downstairs to make sure it wasn't an issue with the hotel itself and the lady down there appreciated the concern, so at least the staff is friendly.

Personally I slept well.. but the service(being prepared for rooms to be used) and cleanliness could be a ton better.

Arrived at night after a long drive. There seemed to be mixed reviews online. However, the staff was warm and friendly. Rooms were clean. Bed was a little on the hard side. Parking was well lit. Would stay again.

The hotel was nice enough. Plenty clean and quiet. Desk staff was very friendly. Check-in and check-out was very easy. But what I didn't like was the housekeeping staff opening our room at 10am when we hadn't checked out yet and checkout time was not until 11am anyway. They knocked and then almost immediately opened the door. Didn't even give us time to answer or open the door. Thankfully we were packing up. What if we had been undressed or were in the shower?

That being said, we would stay there again.

My brother was telling me about his stay here!! He stayed for a few days he absolutely loved the staff, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast attendant person was “extremely” helpful hands on with my brother needs and she also had a very great positive attitude! Also with a lovely singing voice! I will visit again!!!

This was actually my fourth year staying at this hotel, specifically the same time of year for my daughter's birthday.
This year the cleaning staff was new and they were very rude. Or maybe it was just new staff members, I don't really know. But this is the dirtiest the hotel has ever been in the years that we have been here and I don't think the floor was cleaned. I don't think the shower was cleaned in one of the rooms. We got two adjoining rooms for reference. We traveled with our nanny and children.
Aside from the cleanliness issue, the only other issue that we were super not happy with was the fact that the breakfast staff, specifically the angry syrup lady was very rude to my nanny. She's not (nanny) the type of person to be very mean for no reason. So the way that she was yelled at for spilling a drop of syrup and made to feel like a child or something that was just a mistake, that anyone could have done, it's not like she got served everywhere or destroyed the whole breakfast room. The day before that ends in it, my family and I had to wait until 15 minutes before breakfast ended to be allowed to be in the breakfast room because apparently someone asked that day had spilled a drop of syrup and no one was allowed in the breakfast room until the entire floor was dry. Not clean, but dry. She wouldn't let anybody in the room bc the floor was wet. I think it's crazy because like I said the floors upstairs weren't even clean. What a juxtaposition. There were like four families waiting to go into the breakfast room when they were only 15 minutes left in breakfast, which is good because of course the breakfast room is really big. Which allows for a lot of room for people to make things in a hurry without spilling a drop of syrup. Anyways, and no breakfast time was not extended even though she closed it off for a solid 20 minutes the last 40 minutes that it was open. The front desk staff was so nice though. I don't want this to prove you deflect negatively on them because they were wonderful and helpful and I don't have anything to say about them.

Oh --- and there's also a big tear on one of the blankets in my room. It was there when we got there because we took a picture of it but I didn't say anything to the front desk staff because I want to see if the nurse actually turns over the bed properly and if they do they will see the giant tear and they'll replace the bedding. I'm sure nobody else will sleep in that same bed with that same ripped blanket if they're paying attention, which based on what I saw... Who knows. Good luck. We won't be back. Which sucks because like I said we pay for two rooms every year and we were planning on coming back every year. But I also like clean hotel plus a nice cleaning stuff unless I'm doing something majorly out of pocket.
Bring back the old cleaning manager you guys had last year if she has been replaced, she was a DOLL. Don't see any of the old staff members that used to clean this place. It used to be immaculate.

We stayed a Monday thru Thursday and we had waffles, great value oatmeal packets, bread, bagels, biscuits and white gravy. We had no protein (eggs, bacon, sausage, etc.)!! Starches and sugars only!!! When asked they said they don’t do anything else except on Saturday and Sunday!!! Our icemaker was a frozen line of water in the fridge (said they would contact maintenance on Tuesday morning -no show)the handle on the bath door was dangerously broken (said handles was on order). We arrive back to our room on Wednesday night to someone cooking snow crabs in their room and put the garbage outside their door told front desk, and when we arrived at our door someone had put soaked towels on the carpet in front of our door. Thursday morning snow crabs were still in hall and had the whole hall smelling “crabby”.
