My family use to always catch strep whenever we stayed at The Mead so we stopped staying there for years. Fast forward to now, their is new management their now and they are doing a great deal of cleaning. Now my family can sleep there as well as swim there and nobody gets sick. So I know they are taking cleanliness to a new level. Great job!

The first room was overly warm and had a funky smell. They moved us to another room, which was also warm, but we were able to cool it down somewhat with the A/C. Pillows were very small and VERY firm, as was the bed. It's not a good thing for someone with neck and back issues. When we talked to the staff, we felt like an inconvenience. We're not likely to stay here again.

The hotel has been here a while, but it is kept up very well. Well. The hot tub is nice and the sauna is great. The pool is pretty big, but we didn't get in. It's a big open atrium type area. We liked the massage chairs in the lobby. I would stay here again.

Very bad stay. Booked 4 rooms for family. It was 10 degrees outside and none of the 4 rooms had adequate heat. Front desk told me there was only one maintenance guy and he had more important things to work on. I asked for additional blankets and was told they had none.
Requested another room which was no better than any of the others. Was eventually given a tiny electric heater which could not overcome the cold room. It was very cold and uncomfortable in the rooms overnight . Took very long to get hot water and the pressure was extremely low. I will not be staying there again.

Positive: Very clean. Staff was friendly. Negative: The heater didn't seem to work properly. The temperature was pretty reasonable, but I wanted it to be a bit warmer in the morning and adjusting the thermostat made no difference. I never heard the heater turn on.

Positive: Wonderful, friendly staff. Fabulous breakfast. Negative: This hotel has gone through numerous owners since it was sold by Consolidated Papers. The new owners are bringing a bit of life to the hotel with outdoor lights etc. but, that money would be better spent in updating the rooms (bedrooms and dining rooms)

I can't say anything about the rooms since we're local and didn't use any rooms. But we did attend events and ate at the restaurant. Both of which we very much enjoyed.
I highly recommend the restaurant. The food is excellent.

Went for the New Year’s Eve celebration. Paid for the package that included the room, dinner with a bottle of wine and 50’s review show. Price-$299.00 plus tax.|Was the worst New Year’s we ever had. Not enough waitstaff to serve patrons. Food was inedible due to over salting. Not enough table seating for the show. We wound up in the bar playing Trivia on our phones. The one bright spot was Jeff the bartender in the bar. |Don’t Waste Your Time Or Money.
