Sat at the bar since it was just me. Bartender was too busy with cleaning and making drinks for the restaurant than tending to anyone at the bar. Bartender counter was dirty. Had to ask for a water twice. Ordered ground beef tacos which I figured was a safe bet turned out to be kinda meh…run of the mill. Rice was dry. Ground beef was bland. Food quality reminded me of something you would get at an Applebees or Olive Garden and was by no means good. I’m not sure what this place was packed…maybe it’s the atmosphere. It can’t be the food or service. Not sure I’ll go back.

I thoroughly enjoy dining here, particularly because of the delicious vegetarian options. I highly recommend giving it a try! However, I do have a few suggestions for improvement.

One issue I've noticed is that the fajitas contain very little chicken. While my family loves the flavor, we're unsure what seasonings are used. We can't get enough of it! To enhance the experience, I wish they would increase the portion of chicken and expand the vegetarian options.

Overall, this place has great potential, and with a few tweaks, it could become a top favorite!

Steak Oaxaca used to be phenomenal. Now it is just edible at best. It is advertised at Ribeye but it is either the worst quality ribeye you can find, or it’s cheap overcooked sirloin, which is what it tastes like.
The steak tacos and chicken flautas are the two things I get at any Mexican restaurant - they are basic and should be perfect in a Mexican restaurant. Unfortunately they are not good here.

You cannot sit on the patio comfortably in the winter. It’s easily 85 degrees out there. That sounds nice, but when we are dressed for Wisconsin weather- sweatshirts, sweaters with coats- it’s so uncomfortable it makes you nauseous. So maybe if you wear summertime garb in January you’ll be fine. We unfortunately no longer request the patio which is a shame because it’s beautiful.

The menu is pricy for what you receive. And it always smells like bleach and dirty mop water when you walk in though once you are in the dining room it is less apparent.

Service is fine- but unmemorable- it’s rarely busy even 7pm on a Friday night, just unenthusiastic servers. We can only get one drink because the servers never come back.

The chips and salsa are pretty good.

There are many more authentic and reasonably priced options in Racine and Kenosha I don’t think we will make the trip to Iguana Wana anymore. Just not worth it.

Cute place, good menu variety, and good portions. Nice vibe and some of the best flan I've ever had. Here's what wasn't great. I asked for Mexican style tacos and additional cilantro and onions. Instead, I got almost no toppings on all but one of three tacos and completely cold rice. One person in our group ordered shrimp fajitas and opted for the smaller option, which ended up being a much smaller portion than we expected, so I would definitely recommend opting for the larger portion. If not for those, it would have been excellent because the meats in our meals were very tasty, and so were our drinks. Also, enjoyed the salsa varieties. Would definitely visit again and do recommend it.

Family loved the different variety. Service was slow, but food came out fast. We loved the guacamole and chips👍. But we’re not fan of the fried ice cream👎.

3/29/25:
Food and restaurant were great. Since it was a Saturday and busy, the service was poor. It was difficult to get water and follow up. I understand Saturday can be crazy but the effort could have been better.

The staff was friendly and the nachos were fantastic. The serving size was generous. Fair warning that this is one of the more expensive Mexican restaurants around but it's worth it.

Great service and atmosphere. It's a huge place for large groups and families. We went on a quiet Sunday evening.
Vegetarian food options were less but tastes good. Chimichangas and the mozzarella sticks were delicious. Veggie plates came with coconut rice which ch was strangely sweet and was odd to eat.

Veggie salad was ok.
