I've been wanting to get a meal delivery service for sometime, but the lack of good dairy-free choices by countless other services have a big barrier. So I was very excited to try Whisk Meals.

Meals itself are pretty good. I can see they've taken a lot of care into getting good ingredients in, but I've noticed that with Asian inspired dishes they are taste like nothing. I found myself needing to add a lot of sauces to get it closer to where I expect the flavor to be. What's more confusing is that rest of the dishes are great. So I'm not sure where the disconnect is. I think it would be in their best interest to try to survey their customers for more direct feedback I'd hate for their efforts to be wasted when the service clearly puts so much thought and effort into 20-24 different meals every week.

The last nitpick is the pricing structure. Minimum order of $60 dollars is fine, but having to pay $5 delivery fee isn't fun, especially as a person living alone I'm only ordering 4 meals which often ends up few bucks short. So I'm adding in cookies that I didn't want, and end up forgetting and throw away. Either add in more choices for small items or small increase in price across the board to bake in the price of the delivery fee.

Otherwise it's a good service. Happy to support a small local business. I think they'd have a very compelling service if they can refine their offering.

This review is late as it relates to a December order for a holiday gathering. Whisk Meals prepared a turkey as well as mac & cheese to round out the meal we were serving for 35 people. The turkey was absolutely delicious, moist and perfect in preparation. The mac & cheese was very good as well. Everything came in containers that were easy to warm and serve. My meal preparation was so much easier with Whisk Meals helping out. I highly recommend this team!

We really enjoy this meal service! First of all the food is delicious! I don’t tolerate dairy so it is nice to have an option for meals without it and to have so many choices 🙂 They are also able to accommodate preferences as well and can customize your order, so appreciative of this! The menu changes weekly so there is a nice variety of choices. The customer service is great, they are very responsive and if there is an issue, and there haven’t been many, they make it right. Delivery has been great too. You can track it so you know when they will arrive (but you don’t have to be home). I can’t ask for more 🙂

Excited about this new addition to the island! Sampled a handful of items at an evening tasting. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and made of whole ingredients. I would not have guessed that the items were gluten-free + dairy-free. They are also willing to make modifications based on your personal needs (vegan, etc.). Menu rotates weekly.

They have some limited retail, but you can order online for a Monday and/or Friday pick up or delivery. You can choose to subscribe, or just make one-off purchases. Website has nutritional information and more extensive options than that walk-in options.

Hard to see from the street, but they are tucked up in the old Oh! Chocolate space.

I checked out this new store and I had the Golden bowl ($16). I also had slice Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Frosting ($6.75). I only like the cake, but the last two bites were dry! The bowl was a bit over priced for the portion. It looks like an 8 oz container.

Nearby Sano cafe sells smoothie bowl for $12 and 16 oz smoothie for $8

Also, their hours on Google do not match their advertised hours on the storefront windows or menu. The store closes at 2pm

Good food very bad point of sale/ order experience and customer service.

Several orders cancelled after checkout with no explanation. Orders that weren’t delivered; with no explanation even when I emailed for help / more information. Repeated website checkout issues / errors “we no longer service your address” with no immediate assistance from team which resulted in me missing order cutoff deadlines.

No offer for an apologetic discount on future orders or a credit of items toward future purchases or even just a genuine apology.

Their responses (when they did respond) were often very delayed (no urgency) and came across as annoyed / put out instead of eager to keep my business and work out order kinks.

Their tone came across as condescending, lacking curiosity or a desire to fix my issues.

Was excited to support a local woman owned business. I kept trying long past a normal customer would - emailing them “I want to give you my money- help me!”

When I shared I’d need to go to Google review as a last resort to simply share my honest experience because of their lack of responsiveness or justification for my issues- instead of heading the feedback as an opportunity to learn from my experience and provide a better customer experience - they accused me of threatening them.

They’ve lost a once enthusiastic customer/supporter.

Really wanted to love whisk and wellness. Their customer service is very responsive and helpful. And it’s nice to have a fresh local option for those who need help with meal prep.

I tried a bunch of meals via their meal prep menu including some of the lose meals:
- the lose meals are solid. Pretty basic: protein and a veggie
- the turkey chilli was fine.
- the southwestern chicken bowl was unfortunately inedible. Something was completely off with the chicken. Another friend tried it and could not eat the chicken either. Something was off.

I’ve been unable to shed about 30 pounds of extra weight for over a decade. My nutritionist suggested trying Whisk and Wellness Whole 30 and the results have been amazing.

In the first few weeks of the program, I’ve lost 9 pounds! And the food is so healthy, fresh, and delicious. It’s always a challenge to stick to a program. However, the taste, variety, and freshness of the food – – as well as the healthy nutritional balance – – makes it manageable and rewarding to stay with it.

In addition, whenever I have a comment or question, customer service is very responsive and helpful. I can’t recommend this program enough.

Thanks, Whisk and Wellness!
