Four of us stopped in for a friday night fish fry. Had a couple of drinks at the bar while we waited about 10 minutes for a table. The draft beer was ice cold, and the ole fashions were delicious. Fish fry was hot, crisp, and flaky. Cole slaw was good and really liked the rye bread. The only thing that kept it from being a 5 star review was that we had to use the lights from our phones to read the menus. We would definitely stop in again.

The restaurant itself is nice. We were able to sit outside on the patio. The food was underwhelming. It looked good, but the taste wasn't there. My husband took only a couple bites from his fish sandwich and decided to stop eating because it had an off putting taste. My brisket Mac and Cheese looked really good, but it didn't meet expectations. We didn't stay for very long because we had to go to an event. The food came out quickly, almost too quickly - like in less than five minutes. So not sure how much of the food was fresh. Server was pleasant and attentive, but just wished that we had a better experience with the food.

Wife and I stopped by for dinner, Sat., April 5, 2025 for the first time. First impressions are everything. Jamie was our server and she was absolutely amazing. She gets five stars all by herself. We were very disappointed to realize she was working the entire place by herself with no help from the bartender. The hostess helped bus tables and that was it. Jamie held it down for this place, all by herself on a SATURDAY NIGHT dinner rush with no help. Whoever no showed to work should rightfully be fired and Jamie deserves a raise. Hard to say if we'll be back.

Not sure when they remodeled but it is very nice now, great fish fry, nice variety, I had the blue gill, it was terrific. Loved the german potato salad served with it as well as cole slaw, potato pancakes were very good. The Walnut Bourbon Old Fashioned was excellent also. Very busy but the staff handled it well, seated promptly and good service; definitely try Hogg Alley!

Love to stop in this place after work. Their Happy Hour specials make it a great place to unwind with coworkers. Special shout out to our favorite bartender Courtney who keeps us coming back. She has great food and drink suggestions, keeps us re-filled without asking and shares some of the best stories that get the entire bar laughing. There are not many bartenders out there like her! A true gem.

Had we only gotten burgers here... it'd be 5 stars.
Unfortunately their fried chicken was way too dry, the fries so-so, and the reuben was a good sandwich but not a real reuben.

We were seated at 12:20, and didn't get our food until 12:55, and never got our drinks refilled or checked upon in between.

and yet...
the burger was really good.
like, really good.

And the band started playing at 1 (they were testing and setting up all the while we were waiting for the food), and they were also awesome fun. Though we got seated RIGHT in front of the band and it got loud. I thought we would get our food earlier than when we did - had we known, we would have asked to move to a table a little bit away. I love me a good band, but not that close.

but all in all, totally fun atmosphere, and delicious burger.

Great local place to stop in for a good bite, or a good drink, or both. Our waitress was great, accommodating, and made sure everything we asked for was perfect, she had a great personality and engaged in conversation. Several TV's with live games on. I believe it would be a blast to stop in during spring/summer time as they've got a large patio with garage doors to host large groups. Will be back here next time through, hopefully on the bike.

Hog alley it’s a great local bar and their fish fry is great. They recently remodeled and the addition is awesome. The fish is constantly perfectly cooked and they have good portion sizes.
