WiFi is atrocious. As another user mentioned, not only will you not be able to do any remote work, but any internet calls will be dropped after 5-10 minutes with the interruptions.

Only one set of towels for a long stay. Thin pillows.

House of Heavy Plates

Was a nice stay overall but we were 3 generations genuinely living in this space for a 1 week stay vs using it as a place to hang our hats as we were coming and going. We cooked 3 square meals for the entire stay and were really challenged to manage through the extraordinarily worn pots and pans.

Kitchen pots pans and utensils are all showing quite a bit of wear. Every plate has a ding or a chip in it and are EXTREMELY heavy. Even the serving dishes are extraordinarily heavy.

Furniture - multiple pieces of furniture are wobbly within 1-2 uses of collapsing. Coffee table in basement is in a precarious state.

Internet is spotty. I tried working remotely for 3 of the weekdays I was here and ultimately had to throw in the towel. The WiFi was down more than up

TV’s - there are probably more non functioning remotes than TV’s. Only the most basic of cable. Spotted a Roku remote but no Roku to be found.

Hot Tub Cover - easily 100 pounds. By far the heaviest cover we have ever had to move. It is absolutely a two ADULT person job. The cover cannot be moved alone.

Overall cleanliness - good from far. But far from good. Blinds on main floor king size bedroom had dust about 1” thick on them. Toilet in powder room upon entry - needs a solid scrubbing under the rim. BADLY.

Hot water - also fleeting. We had a few bath lovers in the house. Water would fluctuate between nice and hot and then cut over to freezing cold. And then back to hot. Tough to manage through a nice soak.

This is our 2nd trip to Deep Creek. Unsure of this is a management company issue or an owner issue. Either way - there were some flaws to be found on a house that otherwise has significant potential.

If you are looking for a place where you can walk around in the neighborhood this is not it. House is in a small nook off the main highway - fairly steep gravel path to get to house. Walk down to the main road is only about 1,000 steps. Main road has no shoulder to walk on so... up and down the steep gravel path only gets you about 2,000 steps total.

A plus - the deck is nice. The view is gorgeous. This is a duplex but you do not hear noise from the neighbors and believe me - we had some neighbors that would have tested that theory. Rooms are for the most part quite spacious. Stairs in the house are quite steep so... get a quad workout for sure.
