My boyfriend and I are hiking the American Discovery Trail, and it had been about a week since we had rested indoors. So we decided to treat ourselves to something a little nicer than we normally do, and couldn't have had a more beautiful place to take showers, do laundry, eat amazing food, and rest our tired feet. Kirsten at the lounge was a fabulous server, Sonya at the front desk was so sweet and enthusiastic. The room was comfortable, beautiful property, beautiful sunrise views from the restaurant. From the room we could see deer walking around the property. A pleasant experience from start to finish, and reasonable prices.

The lodge is really nice newly renovated. The" all you cal"l eat Prime Rib and crab legs is $50. If you love crab legs, it is a great dinner. If not. I would pass. The rest of the food was good, but it was standard buffet bar quality.

I stayed at the Canaan Valley Resort Lodge for one night in mid October after getting caught in the cold rain while on a motorcycle trip. The rooms are very modern and clean. There is a restaurant, lounge, and cafe all in the same building. Plenty of free parking. Friendly and helpful staff. I would stay here again.

Nice place with nice rooms and facilities. Would give it more stars if staff had a better handle on what is going on. Our reservations were made in the spring for a fall trip and every time you call to see what would be open and available, you got a different answer every time. It's also a chore to get anybody to call you back when you leave a message.
