Like being back at Girl Scout camp. No TV, no AC. Dining hall meals were great; even the coffee was good. Might have let me know to bring own wash cloth, tissue, cooler full of ice for room tho.

Went there to attend a concert by the Oak Ridge Boys on their lawn. We ate dinner in their dining room and it was delicious. Great atmosphere for the concert. We've attended several concerts there Over the summers.

It was awful , rooms, no AC No click or radio and the rocking chairs on porches were very uncomfortable. It took forever to find our room. No one would explain.||Food was very good we had supper 1 night. Everyone there eats at the same time all meals.

Beautiful buildings, comfortable accommodations, delicious home style meals, all in a peaceful countryside setting surrounded by gorgeous trees. Nature highlights this serene setting.||I was thrilled to attend a family wedding here, and the Shrine was the perfect place for this outdoor event. A large rustic hall provided a great place for the reception.||I would just warn visitors that it is a bit hilly and rocky, so those with mobility issues may find it a bit challenging walking around the uneven pathways.

Spent the weekend on retreat with my church family. We hiked, prayed, sang and relaxed. I felt like we were a real family away from our church. We had meals together which were really good. Sat on the veranda at night and just talked about future plans, celebrated an anniversary and just relaxed. We hiked up to the cross and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Sunday morning at the Chapel was beautiful. Hope to go again and make it to the North Mountain this time.

Shrine Mont is a unique place to stay -- not a typical hotel or resort, but a true rustic getaway. And it's perfect for travel during the pandemic. We had to visit family this summer which required a cross-country drive. We felt very safe staying at Shrine Mont. Both the hotel and the cabins have minimal shared airspace with other guests -- and since most of the rooms aren't air-conditioned, the outside breeze coming in at night was perfect. We got our honestlye meals to go and ate outside on a covered porch. The swimming pool was perfect, and this fall the hiking will be A+. This is the kind of place where traffic is minimal and you can let your kiddos roam. Your view of the stars will be impeccable.

This was my first trip to Shrine Mont, and I can't wait to return next fall. It is gorgeous, rustic, peaceful, and everything I was looking for in a spiritual retreat. So much to offer, and the food is wonderful. If you want to "unplug" from life as you know it, this is an ideal place to go. Lots to keep everyone busy with or without the company of others..

Beautiful surrounding, exceptional food (especially Sunday fried chicken 🙂 ), warm and hospitable staff. Fun for kids with swimming, hiking, playgrounds, and exploring. Always a joy to get a way to this "place apart" in the mountains for rest, relaxation, and fellowship.
