Couldn’t have asked for a better night at The Forks! Amazing room, easy check in and check out, literally just walk in and walk out leave the keys in the room. While it was a balmy 20-15 or so I still got to take in the view from the private patios , there is a roadway not too far away but it’s not in any way disruptive and it’s nice seeing the cars come around the bend at night. Affordable rate for how nice our room and the overall space while still being close to Elkins while feeling private.

The dinner was a 10/10 , others took better photos and wrote more appropriate descriptions but it was an honest fine dining experience and it’s great seeing the chefs get to explore with local ingredients to showcase such awesome dishes.

Ambiance was intimate and warm, I can see why it’s such a popular anniversary spot, for weary travelers as well it’s a perfect way to recharge in a warm cabin with great food, have a few (also very good)drinks and go back up to your room , they even offered to pack up our desert to take back up!

Jenna our server was so friendly and attentive and everyone we spoke to was incredibly hospitable asking how we liked the room and getting into town safely.

Happy to see a local family business thriving and hope to be back soon!

The food was delicious, but it came out very slowly for a night with not that many other guests. We got the 6 course tasting and loved all of it, I wish we got more of their sorbet since it was delicious. I was pleasantly suprised with evrything except the sushi appatizer which was a little bit of a let down as it was cooked fish on top and sort of fell apart. The pic is the mahi and the duck. The mahi was awesome, but I think the sauce on the duck was too tart.

My wife and I enjoyed The Forks for the first time to celebrate our 25th anniversary. The room was quaint with a cottage like feel. Everything was very neat and very clean and the view from the balcony was spectacular right after a rain. If you are able to stay I would highly recommend it. The restaurant had a comforting feel with a great ambiance. It felt really classy but not uptight and the background music was spot on. Our meal, appetizers, mains, and deserts, were all outstanding and the drinks were outstanding standing as well. Can’t speak highly enough of our waitress, she was so good. We enjoyed a great meal in a great environment and never once felt rushed and we just can’t quit talking about it. It’s about a 2.5 hour drive for us but we are already planning another visit, everything about it was truly that good.

My husband and I enjoyed our anniversary dinner here. It was a warm summer evening that we were able to enjoy dining outside while looking at the gorgeous mountain view. The ambience is casual in an upscale way, without pretentiousness or stuffiness. The food was outstanding. I selected the tasting menu (not prix fixe - you choose each course from the existing menu!). Each course was better than the previous. The standouts were the shrimp bisque and filet. My husband selected the Ceasar salad and New York strip- perfectly cooked and the sauce was delicious. The potatoes fried in truffle oil stole the show and he now has a new favorite food. Honestly, the food was better than some 4 star restaurants in the DMV area. The service was just right, attentive and helpful while not being intrusive. We are looking forward to a return trip in the fall and plan on staying at The Forks for the weekend.

My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary at this amazing restaurant this past weekend. It was recommended to us by friends that live in the area. This restaurant captivates not only your palate, but your sight with it's breathtaking views. The ambience is very quaint and inviting. We opted for the tasting menu, a couple of drinks, and beautiful views on the side. The drinks were crafted perfectly, getting better with each sip. The dandelion martini complimented my meal and was very delightful! The food was plated with perfection, and the flavors pleasant and light. I chose the spread plate, caprese salad, shrimp bisque, crab cake, and creme brulee. Although all were amazing, the front runners were the shrimp bisque and crab cake in my opinion. I could have ate just a large bowl of the bisque and been in heaven. We had more food than we could eat, but enjoyed every second of it. Highly recommend treating yourself to this fine dining experience.

Nestled atop Kelly Mountain, The Forks isn't just a restaurant; it's an experience that captivates both your palate and your sense of beauty. The panoramic views from our table were nothing short of breathtaking, offering a perfect backdrop to an evening of culinary exploration.Opting for the six-course sampler, priced at $80 per head, we were taken on a gastronomic journey that highlighted the best The Forks had to offer. This option provided a generous taste across the menu, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking to immerse themselves fully in what this establishment has to excel. The main courses were a standout, particularly the tuna steaks and veal, which were cooked to perfection and showcased a mastery of flavor and technique. The tuna was seared flawlessly, retaining its moistness and delicate texture, while the veal was tender, rich, and complemented by a beautifully balanced sauce.A delightful surprise was the trout chowder, a dish that by itself would be worth the trip. Rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, it was an absolute triumph of a soup, leaving us longing for more. The appetizers did not disappoint either, setting the stage for the impressive courses that followed. Each bite was a testament to the chef's ability to blend tradition with innovation, resulting in dishes that were both familiar and exciting. Our waiter added immensely to the experience, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and personality. His recommendations were spot on, and his engaging demeanor made our evening all the more enjoyable. In summary, The Forks at Kelly Mountain offers more than just a meal; it offers an unforgettable experience that marries culinary excellence with the natural beauty of its surroundings. It's a must-visit for those seeking to indulge in a meal that will be remembered long after the last bite.

The only place to go for a true fine dining experience in the Elkins area. The atmosphere, colors, lighting, music and overall ambiance was inviting and warm. The service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and had detailed knowledge of the menus. Checkins were timed perfectly! It was a rainy evening, but the views off the back deck were still amazing. The new seasonal tasting menu was very well thought out and put together. This is a fine dining restaurant, with fine dining prices. I believe the service, atmosphere and quality of food and drinks justifies the cost. Would highly recommend.
