You walk and you're greeted with a wide variety of articles of clothing, cups, and souvenirs to purchase. As well as the plugin smell of maybe a nice febreeze.

The hostess greets you and takes you to the table. We were sat behind some other people and were told our hostess would be with us in just a few seconds. Another couple sat behind us. Weirdly the couple before us and after us were served before us, drinks, food orders and such. Our waitress came and apologized to let us know she didn't even know she had a table. Three tables in a row and three different waitresses doesn't make much sense. Not a great start.

Starting off we ordered the cheese curds and boy did they come out fast. Made me think they had been there for a while so a quick pop into the microwave makes them "fresh". They were bland. Not impressed.

The main entrees come out in a pretty quick time also and the food itself was okay. But let me tell you what the star of the show was, the hush puppies. Literal chunks of corn and not dry at all. That was legit.

Our waitress was excellent. And that's that. Hush puppies and the waitress.

We stopped here because deep purples song smoke on the water came on & halfway threw the song we seen this place. Ok, universe, we heard you loud and clear. I had the irish mule it was everything I wanted it to be. I'm a ginger beer & Jamison girl, so I was thrilled. I followed that with the crabcake dinner. The lumps of real crab were battered and fried to perfection. The slaw 10 the hush puppies was a 100 best ever. My husband had the prime rib cheese steak hoagie with loaded fries. You know we tried each other, and we both agreed they were Devine. This little hidden place on our road trip up north was such a treat. If you're close, I highly recommend stopping. If you're not close, I promise it's worth a drive.

Very cute restaurant. Plenty of seating outside, nice atmosphere. Lovely bathroom with plenty of toiletries customers can use. Service is very good as well. And food is pretty good, I got shrimp burrito and it was delicious! I think it’s the best restaurant I visited in Elkins!

We ordered a sample platter and a brisket sandwich to round it out. All of the meat was dry but greasy. It seemed like they added fat to leftover dried out meat and reheated it. Even the baked beans were dry. Portions of the smoked pork were yellowish and tough. I think the most regretful thing is spending $50 for a lunch that was not enjoyable.
We ate here on a Thursday, expecting the meat would be freshly smoked, but that did not seem to be the case.

The service and building were both good. However the brisket was the worst I've ever had. I'm quite positive that it wasn't smoked (no smoke ring or flavor) and it was very dry. Sides were pretty good. Doubt we will be back but if we do we definitely will not get the brisket

For what it’s worth, this place does look very good. It’s got a lot of great aesthetics and it’s nice and homey.

But the food is not good at all. I’m getting so tired of going to restaurants and spending a bunch of money eating there, but not getting either a good experience or a good meal or both.

I’m getting tired of the service blaming the back of house. I’m getting tired of the back of house being too high to make food properly.

The brisket sucks. It was like a dry eraser. I had to take it home and cook it with bacon and then chop it up so I could use it as part of a topping on a burger to make it any sort of palatable.

Broccoli and cream soup tasted more like a mouthful of Half-and-half with butter and little tiny shavings of maybe broccoli, maybe it could be parsley who knows. It sure doesn’t taste like broccoli, and I barely touched it.

My girlfriend got some kind of barbecue with sweet potato something but it looks like somebody threw up in a bowl. You guys can’t be seriously serving a dish that appears that aesthetically awful? She didn’t even touch it.

The server didn’t even bother to come back to ask me how I was doing. How distracted are you that you can’t even notice that I’ve got food on my plate that I haven’t even touched? This ain’t rocket science. Being busy doesn’t matter. If a person can’t handle waiting tables, I could barely expect I’ll be able to handle driving a car. And that bar is very low ; besides, It’s not like we’re eating at IHOP or anything. This is supposed to be an upscale barbecue place, and it ended up being a really bad experience.

It took us an additional 20 minutes just to get her attention to be able to pay the bill.

There’s so many excuses being made for restaurants now sucking. And hardly anyone has the courage to tell a restaurant that they’re not doing good. This restaurant is not doing good. You’ve all got a lot of work to do before you could consider yourself decent and if I were y’all, I would just take the constructive criticism and do better.

Definitely not interested in coming back at this time.

Was excited to come here for my birthday due to the great reviews. The service started out great. The meatloaf grilled cheese was awesome but the brisket sandwich had no meat on it. Unfortunately once I let our server Katie know there was barely one piece of brisket on our sandwich her entire attitude changed towards us. I am an understanding person and usually try not to complain in any instances but due to the sandwich being just bread and onions I knew I had to say something. She brought us our check without anything further. I had to ask another waitress what the desserts were but wasn’t able to order anything. I was interested in getting a dessert and celebrating my birthday but nothing was mentioned and we no longer had any one to serve us, we got the vibe we needed to leave. Big disappointment considering the factors involved. Hope others have a more pleasant experience.

Brisket is tender enough to cut with a fork. Melts in your mouth. My dining partner got the loaded fries and the Margarita flight (raspberry, strawberry, peach and mango.) She liked her Loaded fries. Brisket was the star of the show. Little pricey but everything is now and the portions were big. Had a nice Big Timber Octoberfest....crisp. Great local craft beer selection on draft.
