I've used pernats for my game meat 3 times now and would say IF you actually get your meat back the product is great. by my experience there's a 30% chance your hard earned game meat will simply vanish. I had some venison ground and it was just fine. first time I dropped off turkey to be smoked it was great. I got it back 3 weeks later and used it to feed friends and family in dishes at parties all year long. everyone loved it. the second time I dropped my turkey breasts from a 25lb spring Tom my meat simply vanished. nobody can tell me where it went and the owner hasn't bothered to so much as call me. so I'd say 2 out of 3 times are fine just don't expect to get your meat back every time.

This was my 1st time using this business for my venison processing. Many of my friends recommended this business. It was decent drive for me but thier prices were far cheaper than anything closer to my area. The prices are extremely reasonable. I cut my processing costs almost in half by switching to this business. The staff was friendly and they also have nice cuts of beef/pork available for purchase. They processed my venison in a reasonable time as well. The packaging was also very nice. I will be using this business going forward.

Unless you want your own meat back in any capacity whatsoever, never go here!… They're rude. They don't care. It's not posted. You will get other peoples venison. It's all communal. Good luck getting any of your deer back that you drop off! Gross practice, complete waste!

My Family and I have been coming to Pernat's in Johnson Creek for 15 years, this year when I harvested my doe which field dressed at 156lbs I brought it to Pernat's, they told me the trim weight was only 34lbs. I thought that was a misread to me when they called me but when we picked up the backstraps and chops we inquired about the low trim weight the lady walked over to the chart that showed the average trim weight of deer then said I don't know what to tell you, she clearly knew something was not right and repeated to tell me I don't know what to tell you. Showed the backstraps to the three hunters behind me and all three agreed the backstraps didn't come from the deer I harvested. For $130 I expect to get my full deer especially when I pay more to on top of that to get the sausage I like. Mr. Pernat’s if you’d like to discuss this please reach out to me, I’d be happy to discuss.

The meat is excellent and always wonderful. They are quick and the prices can't be beat. I've only been to the Johnson Creek store. It's always clean and you can tell they take pride in what they do. It's a nice, local butcher shop you go to support local businesses.
I've seen the reviews on the customer service. I think it's more of a Wisconsin thing than a Pernats thing. We moved here a while ago and have noticed customer service in Wisconsin isn't like other parts of the country. Moving up here has made me realize customer service people are only as polite as they have to be. They're understanding and will help you if you have questions, but don't go in there expecting a rolled out red carpet and the employees to treat you like you're their new BFF. Just expect to be treated fairly and like you're a customer not a friend.
Good quality for the price.
