Great!
We were looking to get away from home for a day or two so we chose to stay here at the Riverboat Suites based on them having a King suite jetted tub room with a gas fireplace.
The jetted tub for 2 is amazing!
We loved our stay!
The only negative for us was the soft mattress. We like a firm mattress but we know many that prefer a soft mattress. Just a personal preference.
The room was very cozy with the fireplace going!
They do have a continental breakfast.
Located within walking distance from Main St. Many great shops, restaurants, bars/pubs/taverns and coffee shops
Everyone is so friendly here!
The Hotel owners are so genuine and inviting!
We will definitely stay here again when back in the area in the future!

Hotel Galena was amazing. The stay. The location. The service. The room. The breakfast. Nate. All TOP NOTCH! My wife and I retreated here for a weekend stay in January/Feb for my wife’s birthday and it did not disappoint. My wife’s jaw dropped when she opened the door to our room. The jacuzzi tubs sets the romance for the weekend, the windows, the fireplace. Everything was perfect and we will be back again. Thank you Nate and Co for welcoming us with warmth and kindness and for your extraordinary knowledge of the city of Galena and hospitality

Room was immaculate, private, and comfortable. Ac, heating, and a fan were provided. Originally booked a room without a whirlpool and was able to upgrade to a room with one without a hassle. Owner is very responsive and receptive, easy going guy. Will book again, lovely experience and well worth the price.

Our stay at The Riverboat Suites was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. Nate, the innkeeper, was incredibly helpful and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect.

The suite itself was a true gem. Spacious, clean, and beautifully appointed, it felt more like a luxurious apartment than a hotel room. The thoughtful touches, like the seating area and Alexa, made us feel right at home.

We were so impressed with our experience that we've already recommended The Riverboat Suites to friends and family. If you're looking for a truly memorable stay in a charming setting, we highly recommend this delightful inn.

Stayed 2 nights here with my husband for our honeymoon. Nate is an amazing host and hot tub fixer upper 😂. Amazing location, service, rooms are updated and clean. This will be our home away from home and kids whenever we’re in town ♥️

Easy walking distance to downtown Galena with all its restaurants and stores, etc. The owner, Nate, goes out of his way to greet guests and provide a wealth of information. Nicely maintained room and bathroom. This is an old building, of course, so don't be surprised by some slanting floors and other "historic" touches. There is some noise from surrounding rooms/guests, but not disturbing to us, at all. Nice spread in the morning for breakfast, though served just a bit late for our needs. We would stay here again without a second thought. We love the easy access to town.

The light in room 2 kept turning on in the middle of the night. Semi terrible night of sleep as a result. Some might call it a ghost but I'd say it was some type of defect in the lamp. Eventually I just unplugged the lamp and that seemed to resolve the issue. When I told the worker about the issue she didn't seem that keen on replacing the lamp. She definitely knew about it but apparently hadn't taken previous complaints seriously.

All in all it was a great experience and I'd recommend staying there. Just wish I had gotten a better night's sleep.
