We really enjoyed our stay here!
The location is fantastic and you can walk to most of the attractions in Dubuque as well as plenty of restaurants and bars.
The building itself is a beautiful historic building that has been well maintained and upgraded to meet codes over the years. The owner takes pride in the mansion and keeps it very clean. The breakfast was good with lots of options and included in the price.
Robert is a really great host and is happy to talk about the history of the mansion. He was prompt in responding to my questions before I made my reservation and was happy to help me choose the room.
We stayed in the Waller Room which is believed to be spirited. If you’re into that, I definitely recommend this room. We got a little activity with our equipment(cat balls), but otherwise wouldn’t have sensed anything, as it was quiet and peaceful-not spooky.

We stayed two nights and had a great time! The rooms were clean and well kept with original wallpaper and fixtures. Both mornings the breakfast was delicious and had such wonderful hosts. Truly felt like we were boarding in the 1900s!

This lovely Bed and Breakfast is underrated and under maintained. Personal opinion. I'm sure it is difficult to find people to restore older buildings. The host was amazing! Super friendly funny and helpful, and makes to die for eggs. I believe if it was advertised with pairs from local businesses like the casinos, restaurants, etc then this place would earn its place in the map it needs and deserves. It was beautiful and in a very quiet area.

Robert is amazing!!! Not only did he make sure we made it to the Inn, he communicated with us as we traveled to it. This was a last minute reservation as we didn't get as far as we planned. He is so polite and helpful with our luggage. He made us breakfast to go since we were leaving early in the morning the next day. The hot egg sandwiches were amazing.

Our room was extremely spacious. The bed was so comfortable. There are some cosmetic issues with the wallpaper, but the house was built in 1894. The woodwork is beautiful. We would have stayed several more days if we had the time.

I loved my experience at Redstone! I stopped in Dubuque for a quick work trip, and wanted to stay somewhere that had more charm to it, and Redstone looked like the perfect place. From the friendliest innkeeper (Robert), to the original hardware and wallpaper from 1894, Redstone was a perfect place to stop and rest up. It was sad to only stay for one night! Will definitely be coming here again.

Positive: Good location. Easy and free parking. Quiet Negative: Bit run down, needs some TLC. Room was missing basic items, ie coffee cups, side table by bed, few outlets

Beautiful architecture and beautiful original features. Room was clean but needs updating cosmetically. Tape running down the walls holding the wallpaper together, and carpet was very worn. Very little customer service, did not see any staff until breakfast the next morning which was very good but did not have enough seating, had to wait for a table. Good value for what we paid.

Nice B&B within walking distance to most things downtown. Room was very quiet, shower only. Had a window AC AND a fan, which we loved having. The breakfast was wonderful. Really enjoyed it! Be sure and read full description of your room though, we had a double room listed which is not the same as a regular double room in most places. It only had 1 Double bed! We would only stay again if a Queen/King bed were available. Other than a billing issue, would recommend this B&B.
