Our law office took a minivacation to Galena. Ginger was diligent about our reservation, and communicated well. Linen & Stone was in the perfect location. We were able to walk to the museums and shopping areas. We took advantage of the common area and kitchen both nights, we enjoyed games, and meals. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable. The inn itself was quaint and relaxing. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book here, again. Thank you, Ginger for your hospitality, and accommodating our large group.
Also, one of us left a personal item, and Ginger was very willing to do what it took to get that back to us. So appreciative!

My husband and I recently stayed at the Linen and Stone Inn this past weekend. We had exchanged several messages through the Airbnb app about some of the guests in the building being noisy past quiet hours, the smell of weed in the building, and trouble with the locks to the door to the building. The host's response was to come to our room and aggressively bang on the door and yell at us that she "was surprised we were still there" and "all we do is complain." We sent both of these messages due to safety concerns. We have also been in contact with Airbnb about the harassment we received from the host. We have since spoken with the Galena Chamber of Commerce, and a different host at Linen and Stone, and are very disappointed by the response. We felt she was accusing us of being the problem, and did not apologize for the other host's behavior until I asked for one. We have been coming to Galena for 15 years and have never had an issue with any place we've stayed. I would have hoped, given that the Chamber said the host is truly a customer service oriented person, that she would have been more responsive and interested in hearing our story without being defensive for the host that banged on our door. Under any circumstances (aside from an emergency perhaps), it is inappropriate for a host to treat a guest that way. We're very disappointed that this was how our celebratory anniversary weekend in Galena ended.

I spent three days at this historic inn last week exploring Galena and nearby Dubuque. The owner, Ginger and innkeeper, Nice are fun, friendly, helpful and accommodating. I had a first-floor room with a private entrance which was perfect for me since I use a cane. This quiet, clean room included a small refrig, a comfy bed and an accessible shower. Free parking. The inn is conveniently located around the corner from downtown Galena. I enjoyed my stay and hope I can make a return trip to this beautiful area and lovely inn.

The stay was fantastic! Nice was an amazing host. Location can't be beat and the room was quite comfortable and had everything we could have needed. They even helped us out when we ran into a jam and needed an extra night. You will not be disappointed staying here, I promise!!

Our stay was short but sweet but we thoroughly enjoyed it.

The owner Ginger was great in her communication with us and the room was clean and cozy in an old historic building that is well maintained.

Just a short walk to all downtown Galena has to offer including the great restaurants Ginger recommended. We'll be back πŸ™‚

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary. The location is great! A ten minute walk and you’re in the heart of the shopping and restaurants. Nice’ as so friendly and welcoming and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable.

The room was incredibly comfortable and private, and close enough to town that walking to and from was easy. Ginger and Nice' take very good care of their guests. Overall, a terrific experience.
