So beautiful!! The resort had an uplift and it looks great. The cottage was clean. We stayed in cabin 2. At first I thought it would be too small but I was wrong, it was perfect. The bathroom is beautiful, the beds are comfortable and it has a great view of the lake. All the utensils are in the kitchen. The owners are super nice people. We came up when the lake was frozen and Bill was so nice to clear the lake for the kids to ice skate. So great!! I really want to come up in the summer, I bet it is gorgeous!!!

Been staying here for the last 7 years for my annual snowmobiling trip. Always been a great place to stay. The houses are furnished well and the rooms are comfortable. The view into the lake is absolutely stunning.

Stayed over the 4th of July 2015.||Bill and Karen are great people and we enjoyed staying at their resort.||Did some fishing, some seaplane touring and relaxing.||Cabin was very clean and appeared to be remodeled. We had a two bedroom cabin right on the lake with a boat dock. There is a boat ramp right on the property which is nice so you don't have to drive very far.||Location is fairly close to larger towns and the casino at Lake of the Torches if you want to go gamble at night.||Mercer is also close to the resort if you need grocery's and want to go out for dinner.||Bill has a seaplane tour company that I would recommend taking a tour or even a lesson.

Was shocked to read the review on Musky Point after we just returned (last week) from the same location. We stayed in the newly renovated cabin, which was finished this summer. We were the 4th family to stay in it as I recall from the sign in book. Everything in the cabin was brand new, leather couch, furniture, lamps, decorations, plates, stove, refrig, silverware, bedding etc. It was all beautifully done, with new windows that looked right out to the fire pit and lake. It is my understanding that at least two other cabins are going to be updated this winter. We stayed in Cabin 3 and will definitely return. If the new owners do as good of a job on these cabins as the one we stayed in, you definitely won't be disappointed! Prior owner does reside on the property--not the new owners, but didn't negatively affect our stay in any way.

My family had an amazing vacation at Musky Point Resort! The cabins are cute, clean and loaded with everything you might need for a vacation you won't soon forget. My kids couldn't get enough of the lake and kayaking (provided) around the clear, sandy lake. Even went on a sea plane ride that left right from our dock. Can't wait for a return stay next summer!

When I envision a summer vacation on a Northern Wisconsin lake, Musky Point Resort fulfills the requirements: A nice cabin by the lake with access to excellent fishing, a sandy shore for swimming (don't forget a floatie!), kayaking, waterfalls, a sea-plane ride(!!!!!!), cookouts, and night campfires. I LOVE the Northwoods of Wisconsin...it is seriously special, and I consider Mercer the TRUE North as it is far enough away from the hullabaloo of Minocqua.||||Cabin 1, the "Fishing Crib", is more than accommodating! The cabin ambiance is cozy, with an unbelievable view of Lake of the Falls. There is nothing better than waking up to a sunrise over a calm lake with a fresh cup of coffee! And this is no ordinary lake - it extends forever with links to other nearby lakes and flowages with plenty to explore (apparently awesome for snowmobiling and I understand why!). ||I saw loons, an eagle, and deer. The fish bite too! And if you decide to keep them, there is a super clean fish house to descale and fillet them up for dinner!!||||There is a lot to explore in this area. We saw the waterfalls in Presque Isle, which was a fun misty day excursion. The host actually recommended a few different waterfalls.||||One of the highlights of my trip was a seaplane ride! This was on the bucket list, and now I can say "I did that!" This was no doubt the adventure that fulfilled the ultimate Northwoods experience. The seaplane picked us up in front of our cabin! I felt like a super star!! The aerial view of the lakes really gives perspective of this unique area. I could see all the way to Lake Superior!||||Karen, the host, met us there. She hooked us up with a boat, showed us around, and made sure we had everything we needed. She was focused on ensuring our comfort, and then left us alone (not sure who hosted the first reviewer's stay; we were told the resort had undergone an ownership change).||||I want to comeback in the winter to go cross country skiing and snowmobiling - PLUS great ski hills are less than an hour away.

We have been coming to Musky Point for 32 years! The updated (2008) cabins are cozy, with great expansive views of the lake. Three floating docks are good for fisherman and boaters. Not much of a beach, but the little ones love playing in the water. We plan on coming back every summer for years to come!
