Alderwood resort is a great place to stay. Lovely lake views and nice amenities. Plenty of opportunities for land and water activities.
High demand makes getting a reservation here near impossible and staff could be a bit more accommodating considering the premium they charge for the resort.
Of the resort itself I cannot give enough praise to the location. Beautiful views of Alder lake and excellent sunrises over the lake.
The lake is open to the public so expect moderate to heavy boat traffic while navigating the nearby waterways and enjoying the lakeside views.

Serene, beautiful setting. Sandy shore, kayaks & canoes available. Private fire pit & pier. We biked, kayaked, hiked & used our SUP we brought along. Ate out at Manny’s, Aberdeen, Smokeys, & coffee shop. Explored shops in town & Boulder Junction. Star gazing was amazing.

This was the perfect medicine for a busy mind and hectic work routine. Just what me and my family needed, we even brang the dogs with us and had a blast. The silence, the lakefront, they even brought some fresh sand for the swiming area, everything was just divine. We are all excited to come back next year and have a relaxing experience again. Great job from the resort, highly recommend.

My family rents out the big lodge every July. We absolutely love it. The recent additions and remodeling looks great. The little gift shop is fun and reasonably priced. The view is beautiful and there is always something to do. I recommend this resort to anyone looking to get away with the family. The only downside is that long winding road around the lake to finally get there.

We stayed in the Beachview cabin. It is beautiful inside and out. The fall colors were breath taking over the lake. The amenities of kayaks, canoe, row boat, private dock, firewood, books, games, and fish house put this cabin over the top. We had an amazing vacation! The moon was full over the fall lake. We even drove to cranberry bogs to see the night stars. This property is a GEM in the North Woods!

Great place to go up north and to just get away. Enjoyed every second! It was perfect having your own private dock for the boat and also the covered docjs for when it rained. Can't wait to go back next summer. Highly recommend staying at the Alderwood Resort!
