Rustic, neat, well equipped cabins and rooms. Extremely friendly and polite staff. Limited but tasty menu at onsite restaurant, reasonably priced. Convenience store in site for last minute sundries and snacks. Views of Pacific are gorgeous and awe inspiring. One can sit for hours and gaze at the endless horizons and waves crashing on the beach. Highly recommended. 1-2 hour drive to major tourist hot spots.

The setting of this place is AMAZING - such a beautiful view! Comfy beds, delicious food on-site, little store on-site, great location near Ruby Beach. Also, each cabin has a wood stove which makes it so cozy and they load you up with firewood which is fantastic. The one downside is that the window in the cabin facing the beach is a high window with a bed under it. It would be a million times better with a bay window and a sofa next to it or the kitchen table next to it so you can look out and see the view as you sit . I'll just say that the layout of the furniture and the size of the window do not take advantage of the view.

Took my family there for spring break. Spent two nights. It was super fun!

The weather broke perfectly for us, but the cabin wouldn’t have been the worst place to hunker down in. It was clean and rustic. The wood stove was more than appropriate to get us plenty warm for the night. One bundle was plenty. We let it go when we went to bed and by the time morning came around we were getting up and the area was warming up- so we didn’t need it anymore.

The reservation cost is steep, but worth it. Our kitchenette was very well equipped, and we ate in for all our meals. That saved us at least a hundred bucks a day, which offset the cost of the rooms.

It was just a great spot with plenty to do within the immediate area for our little getaway.

We rented a five person cabin for a weekend. This was a win-win for us, we had the privacy of a cozy, but we'll proportion cabin with amazing views of the ocean and the convenience of a lodge.
We could spend time exploring the local beaches, including Ruby beach, tree of life and the town of Forks. Or cozy up in the cabin, or main room in the lodge. Feeling a little chill? No worries if you have a stove in your cabin there is wood to light a fire and take the chill away, while the waves lul you to sleep.
Don't feel like cooking, no problem they have a great restaurant with 3 meals a day available. I would highly recommend their Marionberry French toast, amazing.

Exceptional place to clear your mind and renew your soul, and also nourish your body with the relaxed, gorgeous ocean-view dining. Located in wild rugged coastline with easy access to a number of beaches with different types of natural features, from dramatic rocks to pristine forests, Kalaloch has it all! My 12-year old niece loved it and wants to make it a spring break tradition. Board games for reserve on rooms a definite plus in the evening! Beautiful, safe, family fun OR an amzing solo retreat.

A two-night stay February 2025. The staff were great; helpful and courteous. The cabin was clean. The beds comfortable. The rates were reasonable. The weather was cooperative.
A repeated scratching noise in the middle of the night. A mouse had got itself into the trash can and couldn't get out. Putting the recycle can on top of the trash can trapped the mouse, and putting the whole thing outside allowed sleep to resume. The staff offered a free breakfast as compensation. No idea what the mouse got as compensation. Staff came and removed everything and brought new trash and recycle cans.
Disappointingly bad lighting in the cabin. It was impossible to read a book or see what was being done in the kitchen area. Cell phone flashlights had to be used to prepare food. Dish soap was provided, but nothing to scrub with. Odd.
The shower was a puzzle. It took a while to determine that barely turning the shower on was when the hot water came out (as opposed to turning the knob as far as possible away from the "off" position), and it was very hot water but it came out as a mist, so by the time it hit a person's body it was lukewarm.
The heater could not be turned off, and it made a racket all night.
We were very disappointed to learn, after we checked in, that there was no access to the beach from the lodge property. In order to go get on a beach, a drive was necessary.
We agreed that we will not return.

We stayed in a cabin for 3 nights. We checked in around 6pm and the front desk person was rather rude and eating while checking us in. He told me that the heaters were noisy and there’s nothing that can be done about it, so I better buy wood from the store before they close. He seemed upset that we were there to check in. The cabin wasn’t clean. There were stains on the sheets and pillows. Luckily I had brought our own bedding and sleeping bags. The couch was covered in dog hair. The p-trap under the kitchen sink was leaking into a tray that was supposed to be for dishes. It looked really gross. There were some updates done to the bathroom, however the countertop backsplash was unfinished and the toilet ran all night due to a malfunctioning fill valve. The toilet seat was not centered and loose. The whole cabin was outdated and there was only one ceramic cup for coffee, all the other cups were plastic and they looked heavily used. The location was really good and restaurant staff were super friendly!

We visited in the off-season as that is the most affordable time for me to visit, and even though the restaurant had limited hours, were enjoyed the same great food and service! The cabin was clean and well appointed, and overall we had an excellent trip. The only unexpected thing we encountered was that the stairs down to the beach had washed out. The views were still spectacular, but to get our beach walks in we drove to Ruby Beach and also did a bit of scrambling to get down to 4th Beach. However, it did not detract from our winter visit, and one has to appreciate that Mother Nature will do her own thing, and to enjoy the experience! The same waves that took out the stairs were breathtaking to watch and to hear during out visit.
