We love this store. We visited on a weekday evening. They have candies from all over the country. If you can imagine it, they have it. From I love you lollipops to chocolate covered Twinkies on a stick. We bought candied almonds, a mixed bag of candies and a large stick of bubblegum.

This old-time candy store is so much fun. They have different eras of candy in different parts of the store. We bought Turkish delight, pixie sticks, satellite wafers, and red licorice laces. The first picture is my husband putting a thumbtack on the world map. He placed a tack on Morocco to show a Moroccan visitor was in the store. The name of the candy store is called True Treats. Customer service was amazing. In Harpers Ferry.

This is a super cute shop! Apparently, this is the nation’s only historic candy shop. They had treats from all time periods. They have some freshly baked goods, some throwback candy, and some vintage inspired candy. They randomly have books. We love literacy!

This is a must stop location if you are in Harpers Ferry. Located next to the confectionary museum, this shop is like a mini museum on its own, except you can eat these treats! The candy as medicine section was interesting as was the walk through history and the candies popular in each era. The shop researches and uses old recipes to make their wares. I picked up some cassia cinnamon drops that have just the right amount of kick, and I got my favorite…..good old fashioned rock candy. The prices are reasonable, the candies are quality, and the experience is A+. They even have a book section and a toy section.

Amazing shop, a must-see if you’re in Harper’s Ferry. They’ve got tons of home made candy, some brand names, and they even play silent movies in the back! We enjoyed some gummy bears and a Charlie Chaplin film.

Lots of classic candy favorites from different eras. I'm a marzipan and turkish delight fan...they had both. My son picked out some hard candy drops that were wonderfully flavorful, the strawberry was great. They even have a small theater in back showing vintage cartoons. A true treasure.

We received a gift box of candy from the 50s, 60s and 70s as a Christmas gift. It is an amazing, delicious walk through our childhood. This is a great gift for the Baby Boomer in your life! We also received a copy of the owner’s book about the history of candy, which we will be reading while nibbling. This candy looks and tastes like the candy we bought at our neighborhood candy store…it brought back great memories…thanks!

Fun and historic candy shop - but not just candy. The sweets are in sections by era, from chocolates and nostalgic wafers all the way back to biblical candy herbs and elixers. It is really fun to visit and marvel at how treats have changed over time, while the need to have something sweet has not. Don't forget to pop your head in the far back room where old cartoons play on the big screen.
