Fabulous fall weekend stay at the 1799 Inn.
First time in Harper’s Ferry in many years and this place was great. Amazing location. Parking spot (which is huge in town we found out) our suite was the Iron Horse on the 2nd floor.

Place itself was very historical and felt like it fit the town. Owners were very quick to respond to anything we needed.

So cool to be right across the street from the train station I got so excited when they’d go by, highly recommend and would stay here again when we return to the area.

I can’t recommend this location to stay in Harpers Ferry. While the location was great, the Ohio room which we were assigned was unacceptable with regards to cleanliness and maintenance. We were greeted with a porch of cobwebs and dirty outdoor furniture. The room wasn’t much better. There were a lot of moths in the bedroom and live spiders in spider webs. Floors were dirty and the coffee pot was unsanitary. When we called the hosts, they said they were sending back the cleaner. Shouldn’t it be clean when you arrive? Couldn’t sleep in the bed because it was broken. Had to sleep on the floor. Needless to say, we didn’t stay the second night. And after sending pictures to the host they would not reimburse our second night. There are a few other bed and breakfast in HF that you may want to check out first.

So much history in this house! It’s the second oldest structure in Harpers Ferry. It is now four separate apartments available on Airbnb.
