This is a decent place to stay. There is a nice master bedroom and living room. There is a nice kitchen. The two bedrooms are upstairs. The stairs are a very steep and narrow spiral stairway. The stairs were hard to navigate for 70-year-old people. The television remote controls did not work the tv, but we were not there to watch tv. There was a receptacle hanging out of the wall. There was much trim work that needed painting and was in disrepair. We found holes in the wall and a big hole in the ceiling in the living room. The outside area where you park was not trimmed and kept up. Lots of weeds growing on a fence and in a raised flower bed. The window in the kitchen is so damaged or dirty that you could hardly see out of it . See pictures attached to this review. The location is very nice and not too far from the downtown area. Also, we were requested to remove all sheets from the beds and take them along with the towels down to the washer dryer area.

My husband and I stayed in the Armory Quarters A this past week. The house was so quaint. It looked to be from the 1800's and was huge! It came with a living room, kitchen, backyard, upstairs bedroom with bathroom then another floor with an attic, which could probably be used for another bedroom. In front was a cute little porch. The location was ideal! Near Harper's Ferry downtown and very close to the Appalachian Trail, which is why we booked this rental. The house provided everything we needed including a kitchen stocked with dishes, pots, pans and cooking utensils. We felt so homey here. What really stood out, though was when we accidentally locked ourselves out of the house and the management quickly came to let us in. They used all means necessary to open the door, while keeping a smile on their faces the whole time. They were incredibly kind and friendly and never once made us feel bad. In fact, they were very welcoming and simply wanted us to enjoy our stay. I'd definitely recommend this house for your next trip! Plus, the rates were very reasonable.

My fiancé and I stayed at the Armory B&B #B for New Years Eve. Horrible! There was space heater (very small) for heat in the kitchen, living room and one for the entire upstairs section. The wine glasses had debris in them and the kitchen was not equipped with proper cooking items, a few sauce pans and cookie sheets! The downstairs bathroom had no towels in it. The upstairs bathroom had a few chintzy towels with holes in them! The towel rack had been ripped off the wall. The shower was supplied with already used Family Dollar shampoo and conditioner and a bar of soap that was open and used! GROSS!!! The main open area that's a bedroom at the top of the stairs had no curtains on the windows, and the beds didn't have warm enough covers for winter. The ceiling in the upstairs bedroom is peeling with debris hanging right over the bed! They charged $165 for the night and it surely wasn't worth that price!! We couldn't cook due to lack of kitchen equipment, and is surely did not have a charming historical feel to the house as most of the furniture was 1950's looking.

We had a pleasant two day stay here recently. The kitchen was well equipped for 4 and had sufficient pots and other cooking items. It was warm so we didn't need the heat. The stairs going to the bedrooms are curved and steep as shown in the picture. If using both bedrooms you have to go through one to get to the main bath. Hard to get lots of bathrooms in an 1820 house.

Stayed here for a girls weekend and couldn't be happier. The house was very clean and comfortable, close enough to walk into the heart of town and on a main road but very quiet. The beds were really comfortable and we all slept great. The kitchen was well stocked though we didn't do any cooking. The outdoor space was nice, we enjoyed the lovely weather sitting outside on around the table. The wifi was a nice bonus too. Would absolutely stay here again.

We have stayed in lots of historic houses. So, we are used to “aged” accommodations. But this is not what my review is criticizing. The only good thing I can say is the bathrooms were clean. But other than that: the windows were dirty, There was no place clean to sit.,The couch in the area with the tv (which didn’t work or connect to cable) was stained and looked oily and dirty! Yuk! There was paint peeling on the kitchen cabinet, The refrigerator froze our food, The sheets on one of the beds weren’t clean. The smoke alarm went off because the burner on the stove wasn’t clean when we turned it on to boil water. ||We called the inn keeper about our tv on the first day and never received a call back. ||We tolerated our 3 day stay but would never return to this place. In short- it is a dump!

Had a wonderful stay at the Armory. Very quaint housing with full kitchen , living room and large bathroom & air conditioned bedroom ( with laundry!) Angela was very accommodating to our schedule given my fiancé was hiking the AT and I was meeting up with him from CT. You cannot bear the hospitality of Angela. Great location close to kelley farm||kitchen, the barn, Bolivar bakery & snallygasters. also quick 1 mile walk to to downtown harpers ferry.

This is a small one bed room apartment with a futon in the living room. It is about 1/2 mile +\- from Lower Town. One of two units in this Civil War vintage home, the apartment was clean and with just about everything you need except for dish cloth s and a toaster. I'm leaving a note and am certain that those issues will be addressed. We enjoy staying in accommodations like this, however folks looking for a antiseptic, sterile motel might want to look further down the road.
