Rowland Baker owner of Celtic Mist is a terrific host, nice quarters and an outstanding breakfast. Three of us spent a week with Rowland and his two dogs, Syke and Tarn, and enjoyed his humor, knowledge of Kodiak, the Fishing fleet, and his favorite service providers. Kayaking, ATV trip in the Mt, float plane trips, fishing and hunting. A full service host in a rustic log cabin three story home. Two bedrooms on the first level share a bath, two very nice bedroom on the main level and his quarters on the third floor. Wonderful Sun room overlooking gardens. Rowland was our guest at dinner and provided wonderful information about the fishing fleet and local attractions. We are experienced travelers and will certainly put this in our top five and will return.

Hidden back in the flats we were pleasantly welcomed by Rowland and his 2 wonderful dogs, Tarn and Skye. Rooms were accomidating and comfy. Rowland has some great stories to tell. On our last night we had a great fire outside as he shared one of his stories. We also had a rental car snafu that we had to deal with and Rowland was kind enough to take us to the airport on our way out. Thank you Rowland for an enjoyable stay.

The Celtic Mist B & B was perfect for our fishing trip. Road rivers are easily accessible and offers superb fishing opportunities. Rowland is a great host and a true British gent. He will hook you up with english breakfasts that are really good. He will also offer fishing tips and good conversations. Will definitely stay at the same B & B if I visit Kodiak again.

I stayed at the Celtic Mist B&B in September 2015. The location was great for fishing the road-side rivers and the B&B had good facilities for taking care of the fish. Rowland (the owner) was very friendly, easy-going and most helpful in all manner of things. Both the bed and the breakfast were very good. I enjoyed my stay a lot.

The property was beautiful and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The breakfasts were large and delicious. The owner, Rowland, was very accommodating and helpful. He was nice to talk to and had a lot of useful advice on enjoying our time on Kodiak Island. Our rental car fell through and he drove us to and from the airport for free! His dogs, Skye and Tarn, are sweeties.

Rowland's suggestions for guides and day trips was top notch! Breakfast was always good as well as plentiful along with the conversation. The room and the bed was great and I slept like a log. Looking forward to next year! Miss the dogs!

Simply put very relaxing environment, a lovely home with a gracious owner host. When we arrived we were greeted by Rowland and his two canine friends welcomed us and made our stay very enjoyable. His knowledge of the area and the vendors providing outdoor activities couldn't have been better.|

Celtic Mist is an authenic Alaskan B&B operated by a wonderful host - Roland Baker. Roland is very generous with his home and creates a very comfortable, welcoming and casual living space for his guests. He provided great advice, directions, assistance, jokes, Alaskan stories and even helped with boots and gear. The Celtic Mist is easy living, just outside of town so its convenient and quiet. When i look back on my Kodiak vacation, i will remember our stay with Roland as much as the bears, eagles, wildlife, fishing and scenery.
