What a fabulous experience! Mike is a extremely generous and wonderfully knowledgeable host who has decades of experience in the fishing, and clamming too! With his expertise we were completely set up for success! Not only was the extremely comfortable, it was charmingly decorated with paintings of fishes and lures and the entire house is full of fascinating pieces of art and hunting relics. Every available space is full of interesting books, and the breakfast was delicious, hot, and very generous! I strongly recommend going for the additional dinner option too if you are staying multiple nights! Far tastier than anything else we had in town.

A friend and I stayed with Mike last summer when many places were shut down due to covid and limited tourists in the state. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the property and the hospitality Mike provided. It's in a rural setting, which was just perfect for us. We had the downstairs all to ourselves with our own bathroom. We enjoyed the expansive deck area to relax and take in the views of eagles, Mt. Redoubt, the meandering river, and exquisite sunsets. Mike let us use the kitchen for cooking dinner and he provided a yummy breakfast before we headed to Homer for exploring (maybe an hour and a half drive, if I remember correctly).

This is THE place to stay, especially if you want to fish. Mike, the host, is fantastic. He is attentive to his guests and very knowledgeable about Alaska. The house is immaculate and located in a gorgeous setting. My friends and I stayed here for our 3 day fishing trip. I would highly recommend it.

If you need to stay in the area or even of you don't......it is worthwhile to spend some time here. Mike is a fabulous host and an impressive cook! He really goes the extra mile to make sure his guests are comfortable and informed about Alaska. The place is gorgeous and the views will have you on the deck or watching for wildlife out the window your entire stay.

We truly appreciated the Meader In as our home for our first time in Alaska. The hospitality of Mike was appreciated along with his knowledge of area for fishing, dining, site seeing, history, secret places!!. It was a great first introduction to the Kenai Peninsula. We loved the home, smoked salmon, smoked little fish, breakfasts, salmon salad sandwiches, master suite, so so much more...||Would love to come back!!

My wife and I enjoyed staying at Meander Inn. Our host, Mike was very kind and helpful throughout our stay. The lodging was great and the breakfast could not be beat. Mike cooks a hearty home-made breakfast for those staying at the Inn. Definitely will come back next time in Ninilchik!

This host is very accommodating, an excellent cook and offers in depth knowledge of Alaska and the region. The B&B is set overlooking the Ninilchik River and has breathtaking scenery. The setting is incredibly peaceful. Highly recommend. We have been coming back for years!

I have stayed with Mike three separate times for approximately 10 days each time. Stunning views, quiet and close to site seeing and fishing. I would recommend Meander In only to guests that will treat Mike's house as they would their own. I won't stay at another place because Mike's is like being home.
