Stopped in at Golden Star for the first time last night. It was around 7:30, and they had clearly just cleared out from their dinner rush. Even so, we were seated promptly and the service was excellent. The food was also great! We got the Super Star Family Combo and it was easily enough for 2-3 meals. We took most of it home and still left full. Everything came out hot, fresh, and was good quality. The meal came with egg rolls (amazing. Some of the best Chinese-style egg rolls I've had in the area), wonton chips (very fresh and crisp), soup, Almond Chicken, Sweet and Sour Pork, Pork Fried Rice, fried shrimp, Sizzling Beef, and BBQ Pork (that hot mustard is no joke, but delicious). With all of that, a soda, and one cocktail, the meal was under $60. Great value, great service, great food. We will definitely be back to try some more of their dishes!

Absolutely disappointed! I’ve gone here before 5/6 yrs ago the food was great! I live in port orchard but happened to be in that area. Absolutely waste of my money! Shrimp egg foo young had canned shrimp, #4 lunch was supposed to be beef/broccoli I got pork ! $50 spent for really bad food! Even the pork fried rice was bad! I haven’t eaten the war won ton soup but based on everything else I’m not expecting much!

Been coming here over 40 years. The fried wonton chips, almond chicken, and sweet and sour pork are amazing! Always, hot, fresh, and on point.

Literally the best shrimp chow mein with canton noodles I have ever eaten!!! I like them very spicy and the chef made them to perfection. Our server was very nice and the restaurant was clean.

We always go to golden star . I can remember when I was A teenager and we would go there. The only thing I miss is the sweet-and-sour spareribs. I wish they would put that back on the menu. Other than that they are great friendly big portions of food. Great drinks., we have dined in and taken out lunch and dinner

Golden Star! Well let me tell you about Golden Star. I was more than a little skeptical when my Wife decided we were going here for lunch. It's very unassuming on the outside, but once we stepped in we were greeted warmly and shown to a cute little private booth. My Wife decided on Tofu and I had Sweet and Sour chicken with chow mein. Our food came out in a hurry and everything was delicious! I'm not even a fan of chow mein and ordered it to share with my wife but it was the best I ever had! We will definitely be back!

They have good portions of food for the price. We got the garlic chicken wings and fried tofu for our appetizers. I ordered the beef and broccoli, sweet and sour chicken with pork fried rice from the lunch menu. Will definitely check out the cashew chicken and sweet and sour pork per recommendation next time.

Golden Star used to be our go to- my experience this time however was quite disappointing. The egg drop soup was terrible, lacking any flavor or appeal. Additionally, the service was unequivocally slow; I almost felt as if we had been forgotten. It took a staggering 20 minutes for us to receive water at our table, and another 45 minutes passed before any food arrived. This decline in quality and efficiency has truly let me down, and it’s disheartening to see a place I once loved go downhill so dramatically. I hope they can address these issues soon and return to the standards that made them a favorite in the past.
