Very cool old school vibes. We stayed in one of the space rooms and it was well worth it. Although you do get what you sign up for so don’t go in expecting everything to be perfect and super clean. Our bed was great the sheets felt and looked very clean and the hot tub in the room was clean. There was a few things that could use some more cleaning and renovating like the wallpaper and small things like that but if you can overlook those things it is a great place to stay. All of the staff was very nice and friendly. We would definitely stay again!

Did not stay at the motel. However, the lobby looked clean. Just stopped by to get permission to enter the plane. They have a C-97 plane that you can enter in the front of the property. There is no charge to enter. It was very cool to see. The owners were very nice when I spoke to them.

You ever play the Sims 2? The atmosphere of the Don Q Inn puts you in mind of that, being something out of only your wildest imagination. At the Don Q, Lady Luck smiled on us, and we won big with the parlay on the Casino Royale room. Certainly feeling like lucky ladies! The theme whisks you away to the blackjack tables, from the card-themed bed frame to the kitschy wallpaper and carpet. The breeze block shower walls add a layer of scandal, and the luxurious jet tub seals the deal for this fun, campy, and romantic getaway! We’ll certainly be back, and we’re eager to check out some of the other fantastical rooms this hotel has to offer. Even the common areas will have you forgetting you’re in the middle-of-nowhere Wisconsin with their eclectic and rustic offerings.

Phenomenonal, one of a kind experience!! My mom, boyfriend and I stayed here in late July of 2024 after visiting the Cave of the Mounds/House on the rock. Customer service is top notch. They even borrowed us some plates to use for our dinner later in the evening. Very clean place. Amazing indoor/outdoor pool at a perfect temperature. Great breakfast. The unique decor is enough to check this place out in itself, plus the old airplane outside that you can go in! So cool. My mom enjoyed the beautiful non themed handicapped room near the desk. We thoroughly enjoyed the Igloo room and want to return as soon as possible. Great staff. 5 stars. If you're looking for a one of a kind, fun place to stay for all ages this is it. Check them out.

What a unique inn! Not many themed hotels around anymore! Very rustic and welcoming lobby, the owner was super kind and accommodating!! Rooms need a little TLC but still a great experience! If you are going to The House on the Rock this place is the perfect pair!

If you have one of the theme rooms, this could be one of the coolest places that you ever stay. They have some amazing rooms like a hot air, balloon room and a lunar space module room. If you’re just in a regular room, though it is incredibly old and outdated. It’s a fun place to go, but it just needs a remodel in the common area and in the hallways. It was clean and the staff was friendly.

This was one of my favorite hotel stays. We stayed in the hot air balloon room. It was out of this world! We booked the tranquility base #2 for the following night, but it wasn’t as special to me as the hot air balloon. So the manager gladly let us move back to our balloon! He also showed us a tour of unoccupied rooms which was so fun to see and explore other options. He built us a fire both nights and we got to hang out and get to know him. We loved playing bumper pool at night. We can’t wait to go back to the balloon. The tub in the room was like a swimming pool! Thanks for everything TK.

We stayed in the cave room. The hot tub was big. However it did leak. The bed was like a rock. There was no blanket so I suggest bringing your own. The breakfast was subpar. Biscuits were ok but the eggs had a weird taste and texture. The gentlemen who checked us in was kind and helpful on suggesting dinner places.
