Great textbook example of a B&B. Will definitely be returning. Room was comfortable, clean and well maintained. Hosts were very hospitable with great breakfasts. The location is stunning on the lake and there is plenty to do nearby. You can be as busy or relaxed as you want to be.

My husband and I just returned from several days at Whitehaven Bed and Breakfast. It was such a lovely place to relax and unwind. The hosts, Anita and Ron, were very kind and made sure our stay was perfect. The breakfasts were delicious. The grounds and gardens were beautiful. The room we stayed in was extremely comfortable. There is not one thing I would change about our experience at Whitehaven Bed and Breakfast. It is a gem in the middle of the north woods of Wisconsin. You can relax on the pier with your wine and book, like I did. Or you can throw a line in the water to catch fish, like my husband did. It is close to the action of Minocqua, but a quiet place to return to after a busy day. I highly recommend the Whitehaven.

My wife and I stayed here for the first time after attending the Packers shareholder meeting. The home is located off the main road and sits on a lake with it's own dock. There are boats to use and you can also swim in the lake since the bottom is nice and sandy. There are loons on the lake and we always love seeing, and hearing, them.||||Our bedroom was fairly large with a queen bed, love seat, small table with 2 chairs, and a shower. The room was air conditioned but could have been a bit cooler to suit my tastes. There was a thermostat in the room but it seemed like the temp would only get down to about 75 no matter what it was set to. Since the room was upstairs and the wx was hot it was just a bit too warm for my tastes, but not uncomfortable. The bedroom doors are just single boards with the old style latches and the floors are board as well so squeak some as you walk around. There was a TV in the room with Dish Network I think but we didn't use it at all.||||The grounds are very nice and clearly Anita and Ron put a lot of work into keeping things looking nice. The dock was nice with chairs to sit in and we saw some very nice sunsets there - very relaxing.||||Breakfasts were good - coffee, water or juice, fruit, some sort of main dish (eggs, French toast, bacon, etc) and there was more than enough to eat. Each of the two mornings we were there Ron sat with us and we had some good conversations on various topics. It's only a few miles into Minocqua and there are a fair number of places to eat dinner that aren't far off.||||There is a refrigerator for guest use on the main floor in the entry area so we used that for drinks, etc.||||This is a very peaceful location with a very nice home and the lake is beautiful. Ron and Anita were both very nice and could provide recommendations on places to eat, things to do, etc. I would certainly stay here again and recommend it to others.

Ron and Anita are wonderful hosts. The house was historical. The lake beautiful. 17' kayaks to use, along with peddle boat. Rooms are beautiful with bathroom, fireplace, and sitting area. It's a great deal. We will return. Minocqua area is also a fun place to hang out for a few days. Norwood Pines is nearby and is an old historical lodge that was a hangout of some gangsters--great food and ambiance for dinner.

Sadly to say, it has been quite some time that we have been to Whitehaven. We used to visit Jim and Anita yearly around Thanksgiving time. It was an annual event for us as we celebrated our wedding Anniversary. They are exceptional hosts and we so enjoyed our time with them. ||The rooms are beautiful and serene. The great room has a warm inviting fireplace with an array of books to read and movies to watch. ||Breakfasts were always wonderful and I am sure they still are. ||We miss our times up there and hope to be able to do it again soon!!

We have stayed in many hotels in the Minocqua area, but this was our first stay in a B & B....ever. This was a beautiful home, lovely setting (on a beautiful, crystal clear lake), and our hosts, Anita and Ron could not have been nicer. We stayed for two nights, enjoyed the lake views, took walks, and basically relaxed. I would highly recommend this beautiful Bed and Breakfast!

A beautiful location on a large lake. The house was immaculate, large and comfy inside. We felt like we had our own space when we wanted it or were part of the family sitting in the massive, high vaulted ceiling living room with the property owners and guests when we didn't. Breakfasts were varied, excellent and tasty. We ate while overlooking the lake and discussing the loons floating by with owners Anita and Ron at our tables. Lots of books and magazines to read inside. My wife and I took out a canoe from the selection of kayaks and a paddle board. Paddling around the lake was fun as we saw dream homes, ducks, turtles, loons, frogs and a nesting bald eagle. The lake was quiet. As everyone was leaving on Sunday I actually felt a bit sad because we had gotten to know all the other guests after just a couple of days. Needless to say, we enjoyed our stay.

This was our first visit to Whitehaven Bed and Breakfast and our first visit ever to a bed and breakfast! We were lucky they had a last minute cancellation and we were able to take it. They have many return guests who book in advance so it is not necessarily a last minute place to go. Very relaxing atmosphere!|The breakfasts were amazing and good conversations with other guests. The weather was cold and rainy so we didn't get to canoe or kayak so that was a bummer so we went to town shopping. A must stop downtown is Minoqua Popcorn Shop and The Fudge shop!!
