We go to the Dells for my kiddos birthday every year. We have stayed at most of the large resorts in town and usually would spend a day at Kalahari. Decided to surprise the kiddo this year and stay at Kalahari instead. It's hands down the best one. Granted it's also the most expensive one out there. I think the extra cost is worth it.

We have purchased food packages from other resorts and the food was definitely not worth the money even with the higher resort pricing. All the food we had was outstanding. I think we only ate outside the resort was lunch before we arrived and breakfast when we left.

The entertainment package covers almost everything they have in the arcade. It's also worth it if you are going to do anything besides video games more than once a day.

The indoor water park is all in one location and has lots of room and rides.

All in all this is worth the money for a special trip and probably will be the only one we go to here on out.

Our family (2 adults & 3 kids-8,5 &4) had the best time here. We stayed Wednesday & Thursday night. The water park was amazing & kept the kids (and us adults) entertained for HOURS during our stay. We never had to wait in line more than a couple mins for the water slides. The drinks were great at the swim up bar. The resort was very well maintained and VERY clean. 10/10 across the board. We will stay here again!

It was a great first experience staying at Kalahari. The resort is huge, so bring walking shoes. There is so much to do here just in the resort alone, but it is in a nice location across from the outlets. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. Everything was in working order, and while they were a little dated it was nice having a FULL kitchen. The water park is huge so be prepared to have a meeting plan because it can be impossible to find the kids in that place! The swim up bar with the adult hot tub outside is absolutely awesome! The arcade and rides were fun, but we were disappointed there was a height restriction for the go karts because we had only bought the adventure pass for the kids and not the adults so some of them couldn't ride. Room service is nice for the coffee in the morning, and it didn't take an insanely long time. I love that they had a NA beer option throughout the hotel, that was nice.
Redds piano bar was super fun and the performer was really good. Overall it is a fun time, pricing is high so if you have a kitchen planning ahead is a must to save on money. It was really a saving grace having that since we brought all the kids!

I recently embarked on a spring break adventure to Kalahari Resorts in Wisconsin Dells, and it was a journey of highs and lows.

Accommodations: 2/5
Booking during spring break, I anticipated higher rates due to demand, but the steep price set my expectations sky-high—think marble floors and spacious suites. Instead, I found myself in a snug room with two queen beds, an unrelenting AC unit, and a view dominated by construction. The compact bathroom with a basic bathtub didn't add much comfort. While the resort boasts various room types, including suites and villas, my experience didn't align with the premium I paid.

Waterpark: 5/5
The indoor waterpark was the crown jewel of our stay. My kids were thoroughly engaged, making the trip worthwhile. The park offers a range of attractions catering to all ages, from adrenaline-pumping slides to dedicated areas for younger children. Notably, the FlowRider and the Tanzanian Twister were family favorites. The waterpark's cleanliness and attentive lifeguards added to our comfort.

Dining: 2/5
On-site dining was underwhelming. We sampled three different restaurants, each leaving much to be desired in flavor and value. Given the resort's remote location, dining options are limited, making this aspect particularly disappointing.

Overall Recommendation:
If you're seeking a top-notch waterpark experience and are less concerned with luxurious accommodations or gourmet dining, Kalahari delivers on the aquatic front. However, for the price paid, the overall value felt lacking. In the future, I might consider purchasing day passes to the waterpark while lodging and dining elsewhere to balance cost and experience.

Pros:
-Loved blackout shades in the room.
Staff LL was very helpful. We got lost finding our room and a staff member went above and beyond to help us navigate the journey!
-Swim up adult bar staff was PHENOMENAL, and so personable!
-Frozen freshly made strawberry margaritas at the Italian restaurant onsite were outta this world good!
-Very, very clean hotel and Waterpark. I couldn't find dirt even if I tried!
-Loved the wide hallways.
-The Waterpark wristbands are also your room key, waterpark pass and work also to charge things to your room! So convenient, and great for security!
Cons:
-Our room was exactly 1.2 miles to the Waterpark. We were on 4th floor in newest addition - so last building, and 2nd to last room on the floor. So it just worked out that way. But on a plus made for a quiet stay. I will just book a room closer next time!
-Be prepared for kids and adults running up and down halls.
-Not enough floaties for the lazy river/wave pool. But I did see staff start blowing up more just while I was thinking it on the first day, so good to know they see the problem and address it!
Overall great for what you get! Reasonably priced rooms especially considering that the Waterpark is included!! Beautiful properties, decore, and staff! Vending machines all over that offer gourmet style food as well as basic options for kids!! Looking forward to staying again!

This was our first family trip here with our 3 daughters. We spent a lot for 3 nights and purchased the foolery and fuel package for $299.99. Can’t say it was completely worth it. To have to pay for non ticket games is a little ridiculous. That should be included in your wrist band package, especially for the younger kids when they want to ride on or play some smaller things. Charging extra for the mirrors which takes about 2 minutes. Everything is way over priced. I understand it’s a resort but make food choices a little more reasonable. We also purchased drink cups to refill during our stay, and in the evenings have no places to go fill them after 10, if the arcades are open until 11 I feel the drink area should be as well. While the waterpark is big it’s freezing. That is what we were looking forward to the most. But my kids were ice cold, blue lips and all they wanted to do was sit in a hot tub to warm up bc it was so cold. The water in the pool area by the basketball hoops was ice cold. Too many fans going. Water temps need to be improved, especially when we are coming during a time the outdoors is closed. I shouldn’t be shivering wanting to be covered head to toe. For the money this trip cost I think we could have found better. This should have been about $500-$600 cheaper than what we payed to say it was worth the trip. Can’t say we’d definitely come back.

We chose this hotel based on reviews that said it was more adult friendly compared to some of the others in the area with more extreme slides in the water park. I don't have anything to compare it to because we haven't stayed at any of the other resorts but I would consider it more family friendly than adult friendly. We stayed over spring break and there were young kids everywhere. If you are looking for family friendly or don't mind kids I would recommend it. If you are hoping for relaxation or couples time I would not recommend it. The water park was chaotic with so many kids and families but it was fun for most ages. They did have some more extreme slides and our teenage boys had a great time. There was enough variety that we all enjoyed ourselves. The adventure park was more geared towards younger kids but we found enough activities to entertain us. The restaurants were good but were quite spendy. Drinks were great but way over priced. Overall we had a lot of fun.

Fantastic resort! Very clean! There is tons to do for all ages. We had a bit of an issue with our room but they immediately fixed it and made things right. The staff here is great!
I arrived in the evening and parking was scarce but I suppose that is to be expected on the weekends.
The water park has many lifeguards who keep a close eye on everything. They also have an EMT on staff. Very safe feel.
Lots and lots food options!
You can literally escape the cold WI weather while here. Everything is connected so you never have to go outside. It's Jan and I'm wearing shorts🥳.
