My room was infested with bedbugs. The wheels were stolen off my car in the parking and the owner refused to show me the security camera.

Don't expect any comfort or cleanliness when you stay here at least it was close to the lake we fiahed

This place needs some real work, bed is not attached to the headboard which is screwed into the wall, light bulbs missing from lamps and can't close bathroom door because bed in the way. A major code violation with the cord to the air conditioner having open wires with wire nuts, and they charge over $100 for this room!
The person at the front desk told me people steal the cord and bulbs.
When I checked in he tells me "you only use the one bed and don't use towels to clean your motorcycle "

A wonderful stay from start to finish. The owner is very nice and extremely helpful. Our room looked freshly painted and updated, and was quite spacious. Full size coffee pot in room which was awesome. The bed was comfy and had very nice linens. Central location, right across from the lake. Will definitely be staying again!

We have stayed here for years, and always enjoy catching up with Zoran the owner. He is a great host, and always very generous. Our room is always clean, has decent beds, TV, and is quiet. Don't stay here if you're looking for free breakfast and valet parking - you are paying for a good night's sleep, and great location.||||Beautiful views of Lake Onalaska. Bar / Restaurant in the next building over. Gas station and brew house a block down the road. Stay here!!!

It's a contractor special kind of place. The rooms are perfectly pleasant. Walls are a little thin as far as sound moving through rooms. But for the price and location to a fun night time bar it's stellar. Have stayed many many nights and will continue to stay.

Situated right over the road from a beautiful lake, this motel could have been so good with a view to show off. But it's not. What a dump!!! LOL.||My feeling is that it is a fisherman's motel and possibly a long term residential one. And that generally wouldn't bother me but the man in charge was so rude, angry and belligerent. He ignored me and only responded to my male traveling partner. ||It also was a bit smelly in the office area.||So any welcome was not forth coming, in fact it was more like a hassle for the man to attend to us,even though I heard him mention his love of money.||Our rooms were connected so that was good, we were able to compare and laugh at the decor and features of our rooms. It was bad 80's thrift store. ||Many things were NQR ( not quite right). For example, it was a bit grimy, shabby and seedy, and my hideous vertical blinds fell apart when I touched them.I had to construct something out of a chair , cushions and towel to cover the window. We had balconies that looked out over to the lake view, but mine's door was secured with a lock that seemed to be home made out of a bicycle lock. It was as if the owner fitted everything himself and not very well, to save a few bucks. ||There were some "touches" to make it look nice, like pieces of cheap cloth with fake flowers thoughtfully draped on the wall over the bed. Maybe I had the bridal suite? ||When I had a shower at night it was so dark in the bathroom I really couldn't see. And the soap was so small and thin it was was pretty much useless. No an iota of a lather was possible. ||I am not a big person but I banged my elbows on the walls in an area where the wash basin was.||To top it off, the whole place shook like a mild earthquake was happening every so often, possibly due to the traffic.||The bed was actually clean and comfortable and I did get a good sleep.||AND the view was wonderful, especially at sunset, and also there is the excitement of a "Big Fish" over the road too, which I really liked. ||||Stay here if you are adventurous, don't care about quality and want a laugh later on.||The owner probably doesn't care how bad it is and most likely makes a killing in summer.
