The lodge is easy to find once you are inside the park.||The outside of the lodge looks impressive enough.||The main lobby is a little small.||Our main reasons for the low score are the lack of wifi---the staff indicated that the signal would be "spotty" because they had so many guests. For us, it wasn't spotty, it was nonexistent (once we left the main lobby).||Finding our way around the lodge was also difficult. The main lobby is actually on the 5th floor (you have to walk up a small hill to get to it).||In another part of the lodge (on the same floor), the elevator that takes you to the conference rooms and main restaurant is on the 1st floor.||The room was a little small; because we brought our dog with us, we were glad that the room had 2 beds and a glass door directly accessing a grassy area (which at least some previous guests were not diligent in picking up after their pets).||The one-time fee for a pet was very reasonable.||The bathroom was standard sized; the bathtub would not fill with water.||Overall a poor experience.

I needed to use the WiFi for a work meeting I couldn't miss and even though I wasn't staying at the lodge, the staff couldn't have been nicer to accommodate me and get me set up in a nice, quiet area of the hallway to have my call. I am very grateful for their friendliness and helpfulness. The common areas of the lodge (I can't speak to the rooms, obviously) are very well kept up and cool looking, with a '60s Mad Men kind of vibe. There is an indoor pool and plenty of meeting space and rooms. The views from the lodge are incredible. Miles of unbroken forest that is just gorgeous, and the hotel overlooks all of it. The Lodge is connected to a water park via a pedestrian overpass (see pic) and you can walk easily to the Championship golf course from the Lodge.

We enjoyed our stay. Comfortable beds with pillows you want to take home. The views are breathtaking.

The best part was having the first floor walkout. We have a service dog, and not having to take an elevator and go out lobby every time to walk her was so awesome.

The restaurant has great food. The seafood buffet was a little bit of a letdown, but all other meals were great. Very friendly servers.

Make sure you go to the swing #AlmostHeaven. Just minutes from the lodge.

They have so many activities.

Only downside was no frig or microwave in rooms but they do have a microwave you can go and use.

The Lodge is a great place to stay!! (We've been there many times!) We stayed in a Cabin this time....The weather was PERFECT! And everyone there was very helpful & nice!! 😊 Highly recommend!! 👍❤️

The views are amazing , the people are nice, they don't put "extra" amenities that they make you pay for without you knowing. overall, just a great hotel

Our room was down sized from a suite to a standard with out our permission the manager working told me there wasn't anything he could do about it. No fridge no microwave the room was small bathroom was the size of a phone booth. Not enough handicap parking had to park in the lot clear at the top. Won't be back. We usually stay at Stonewall Jackson resort and have never been treated badlythere. Guess we will be going back to Stonewall. It's a shame the park itself is beautiful but the lodge is dated and not run well.

The views are breathtaking. The service was great. The food and drinks on-site were delicious. But the rooms need to brought up to higher standards...they are small and dated. Some electrical outlets don't work. No mini fridges to keep things cold. Just a basic place to lay your head. But the rest is outstanding. Wildlife walking amongst to grounds. Will definitely return for a golfing trip and to try the many activities the resort offers. Great fall getaway overall. Enjoyed the grounds, food and service of the staff.
