The new owners are amazing. Todd and Michelle are wonderful hosts and keep a clean and organized resort. The cabin was clean and comfortable. I will be making many trips back up to the resort. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars.

We just finished a week stay at the house. Accommodations were extremely clean, roomy and comfortable. Michelle was so very pleasant and couldn’t do enough for us.
No request went undone and was timely. Group activities are scheduled regularly and a wonderful way of meeting other residents.
Bonus was terrific fish catching on Spirit and surrounding lakes.
Will definitely be back next year.

I can't say a lot about Birchwood currently. In fact, I haven't been back there for 34 years... My parents owned a camper here for a few years while I was in high school. I really loved our time there. When we weren't out on the lake, the resort had things for us kids to do, & it kept us busy... & out of trouble.
I'd like to get back here someday.

BTW... When I was 17, I had a Coca-Cola watch that I took off, I put the band through my high school class ring & clasped it... The both went into the lake. If they've been found, or if they ever turn up... I would greatly appreciate them being returned to me. I'd likely pay some type of reward for them!

Our party of four fishermen stayed in the newly rented house. It is a fully furnished beautiful house with all of the luxuries of our own homes. As fishermen we usually expect just a bed with a roof over it! The house was pure enjoyment for us! The new owners, Mechelle and her husband are fun loving friendly people providing lots of activities for thier patrions. We have stayed there many times over many years under the old management with good service and I believe Mechelle will continue giving even better service with many improvements. I'm looking forward to returning next year! Thank you Michelle!

Loved this place so, so much! The owner was awesome to work with and provided me with a few little extras because she knew I would be arriving by plane/rental car. I rented the one bedroom cottage for four days and I can't say enough about it. The cottage was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. Everything was in excellent working order. I felt very safe there. I was a bit concerned as I was a woman traveling alone, but I had nothing to worry about. The location right on the lake was ideal.||I would like to go back for a week next summer for a week.

This a wonderful place to take the family to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I've been taking my family here for a few years now and have never been disappointed. We always stay in cabin 3. It's quaint on the top of the hill with a great view of the lake. A rowboat is even included with its own small dock. A romantic row by the hubby is always a bonus! ||||There is swimming, fishing, boating, good company and great customer service. The owners live on site and are always out and about either working at the campground store, checking people in, fixing things to make the place better or mingling with the campers. They have weekend activities for both children and adults. There are seasonal campers here who are friendly and welcoming. You can choose a tent site, RV or a cabin. They're all very reasonably priced. We will keep coming back for years to come...a start of a long family tradition.

I am a bit biased. We have frequented BBR for NUMEROUS years. The accommodations are exactly what you need when going for a weeks vacation in Northern Wisconsin. Great screened in porches on every cabin. The staff is very friendly and treats you like family. I was recently married and my new family loves it up there. Great fishing lake for pan fish, bass and northern. Numerous wineries in the area to also enjoy. Every year I count the days until the 3rd weekend in June. The pride in ownership is obvious throughout the entire campground. I believe most of the camp sites are seasonal lots but I know they have a few weekly and weekend sites also. There is also 4 lake side cabins to spend the week in.

I spent a week in one of their four cabins this summer and plan to book it every year. This is a very quiet lake with a family-friendly atmosphere. The cabins were very clean and the campground shows pride of ownership. Most of the campers are permanent residents in the summer and made me feel very welcome.
