Our family rented a cabin a couple years ago and really enjoyed the peace and quiet with a beautiful view of the lake. Our family liked it so much we inquired a site for the season. It is the cleanest and fun campground! They strive to keep it nice and very helpful, the food is so good too. Our kids love the cheese curds and grabbing a snack, We love seeing their memories build at Mallard Lake.

This will be our family's 25th year vacationing at this resort. We love it here, and wouldn't think of going anywhere else. The lake is clean and beautiful, the beach is large and sandy with a clean gently sloped swimming area, and the owners are friendly and accommodating. We have always stayed in the cabins, but the campground appears well cared for too. From the beach amenities and playground area to the clean and regularly upgraded cabins, to the welcoming family-friendly lodge, you can tell the owners (Barb and Gordon) have put their hearts and souls into this little piece of heaven. Truly a five-star vacation destination!

The facility is beautiful and most of the campers are very friendly. Unfortunately we ended up camping seasonally next to an older and somewhat cranky group on site 21. We received an invoice to renew for 2018 and the next day we received another email telling us Sorry, it did not work out. When I called the owner she was abrasive and unprofessional. I asked her what we had done and she said "nothing" but our neighbors weren't happy with us so it wasn't a fit. I asked if there was anything we could do to stay and she said we don't have another spot available so it just didn't work out. We were given less than a week to move our camper and then received an invoice stating to pay the balance by October 1st or a garnishment would be made. Not a good way to do business or treat good customers. Owners are hard to deal with and do not care about anything but making money and they know that someone is always waiting to take a spot... Very poor business practice.

Such a wonderful family friendly resort. We are so excited to make this an annual tradition over the fourth of July with our family and friends. The beach is so clean and the water is so clear. The cabins are spacious and clean, and the owners are wonderful.

Barb and Gordy very nice people and run a beautiful resort. Cabins are always great and lots of things for kids to do. And the best burgers I have ever had ! Been coming hear for 19 years and never a disappointment.

Ashamed this place is in Burnett Co. I've been to private establishments and been treated better. This place is public! The woman at the bar was absolutely rude to us. I'm sorry you needed to clean up the branches in your yard from the storm, but just maybe that could wait until the bar/resort is closed. I frequent many bars/taverns and resorts in Burnett Co. and surrounding area. I will not be stopping back there again, and I will say nothing nice about the place. If there were negative stars this place would be -5....

Gordon and Barbara Johnson run a jewel of a lake resort! There are activities galore, and then there's just lazing around on their pristine beaches. The cabins available for weekly rental are well appointed and scrupulously clean. All in all, a treasure hidden in the forest with wildlife abounding.

Updated: Great as always. Thank you, Barb and Gordon. You take terrific care of the cabins, the grounds, and the people. When we had a power outage and realized late at night the water still hadn't come on, you were out by 8am the next day to re-prime the pump and get us back on our worry-free vacation. Thank you!
