We’ve stayed at this resort twice now. We absolutely love it. The whole experience is wonderful… the rooms are beautiful, the staff is attentive and friendly, and the food is phenomenal. We dined in the igloo last night, my husband had the prime rib and I had the Mac & Cheese, both were great. The romantic atmosphere and friendly service was a bonus and really made celebrating our anniversary extra special.

I cannot say enough good things about Balsam Lake Lodge. It’s seemingly sitting out in the middle of nowhere! I have never been to this area of the United States. My husband and I were looking at a place where he grew up, Long Lake, and then we needed a place to stay. Lo and behold, there was a free room. We loved it. We ate out in the igloo that night, and they catered to every whim that we had, bending over backwards. I would’ve loved to stay another night, but they were full. That says a lot!

Brought my Daughter and grandkids for a night. My grandparents had a cabin on Balsam Lake, so as a child I spent many summers here. Lodge is very pretty, our room was awesome. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We had dinner in the restaurant. Food was good. It was a bit slow coming out but we used the time to enjoy each other's company and play games instead of complaining. If more people looked at things that way and exhibited a bit more patience there would be no need for negative reviews. We had a great time here.

Quaint lodge nestled in the tall pines with a stunning patio that overlooks Balsam Lake. All the rooms are ground level , squeaky clean and has all the amenities one would need. They have a great restaurant and bar and an awesome staff. This is the place to go if you want to relax and gather your thoughts.
