Introduction to Quaint Inn & Suites

For travelers seeking a comfortable and conveniently located hotel experience, Quaint Inn & Suites presents a noteworthy option. Situated at 2704 Deep Creek Dr, McHenry, MD 21541, this establishment offers a modest yet welcoming stay. The phone number for inquiries or reservations is 13874200. While recent online reviews suggest there’s room for improvement, the Inn’s location and basic amenities cater to a specific segment of the travel market. Let’s delve into a comprehensive analysis of Quaint Inn & Suites, exploring its features, location specifics, and what prospective guests should consider before booking.

Location and Accessibility

The Inn’s address – 2704 Deep Creek Dr, McHenry, MD 21541 – places it within a relatively quiet residential area. McHenry itself is a small town in Maryland, approximately 30 miles northwest of Baltimore. This location offers a respite from the hustle and bustle of larger metropolitan cities, appealing to those seeking a more relaxed atmosphere. Accessibility is a key factor; the Inn is easily accessible via major roadways, including Route 29, providing convenient access to surrounding areas. However, it’s important to note that the immediate vicinity lacks extensive dining or entertainment options. Travelers will likely need to drive a short distance to find a wider variety of restaurants and shops. Proximity to Baltimore allows for day trips to the city’s attractions, but this requires factoring in travel time and potential traffic congestion. Parking is available onsite, typically free of charge, which is a significant convenience for guests.

Accommodation Details and Amenities

Quaint Inn & Suites primarily offers a range of guest rooms, each designed with a focus on providing essential comfort. While detailed descriptions of individual rooms may be limited online, the Inn generally caters to solo travelers, couples, and small families. Standard amenities typically include:

  • Comfortable beds
  • Private bathrooms
  • Television with cable channels
  • Air conditioning
  • Free Wi-Fi

It’s advisable to contact the hotel directly to confirm the availability of specific amenities, such as refrigerators or microwaves, which may not be included in all room types. The hotel’s website, though currently unlinked, would ideally provide more granular details about room configurations and available services. The overall aesthetic leans towards a traditional, ‘quaint’ style, reflecting the Inn’s name. The property itself is maintained, though it may not boast the extensive landscaping or modern renovations found in larger, more upscale hotels. The Inn focuses on providing a clean and functional place to stay, prioritizing value for money.

Guest Reviews and Feedback

Currently, Quaint Inn & Suites has amassed 405 reviews on Google My Business, offering a substantial pool of feedback to consider. The average opinion stands at 2.5 out of 5 stars. This indicates that while some guests have had positive experiences, a significant number have expressed dissatisfaction. Common themes emerging from the reviews include issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and responsiveness of staff. Some guests have reported slow internet speeds, and others have noted outdated furnishings. However, a subset of reviewers have praised the Inn’s friendly staff and convenient location. It’s crucial for potential guests to read a variety of reviews to form a balanced perspective, paying particular attention to recent comments. The hotel’s management appears to be actively monitoring and responding to guest feedback, suggesting a commitment to improvement, albeit a slow one.

Pricing and Value Proposition

Pricing at Quaint Inn & Suites is generally competitive, positioning it as a budget-friendly option within the region. Rates fluctuate depending on the season and demand, with higher prices typically observed during peak travel periods. It’s recommended to check the hotel’s website (when available) or contact them directly for the most up-to-date pricing information. Considering the price point, guests should manage their expectations regarding the level of luxury and amenities. The Inn offers good value for those prioritizing affordability and a convenient location over lavish accommodations. A detailed comparison of rates with similar establishments in McHenry and surrounding areas is advisable before making a reservation.

Recommendations for Prospective Guests

For individuals seeking a simple and affordable hotel stay in McHenry, MD, Quaint Inn & Suites can be a reasonable choice. However, it’s essential to approach the booking with realistic expectations. Here are some recommended considerations:

  • Read Recent Reviews: Scrutinize recent reviews on Google My Business to gain an accurate understanding of current guest experiences.
  • Contact the Hotel Directly: Confirm specific amenities and ask about any ongoing maintenance or renovations.
  • Factor in Travel Time: Account for the distance to nearby attractions and restaurants if you plan to explore beyond the immediate area.
  • Budget Accordingly: Understand that this is a budget-friendly option and may not offer the same level of service or amenities as higher-priced hotels.
  • Be Prepared for Basic Amenities: Don't expect a luxurious experience; focus on the Inn's core offerings – a clean room, comfortable bed, and convenient location.

In conclusion, Quaint Inn & Suites represents a functional and economical accommodation for travelers with specific needs. While improvements are needed based on recent feedback, its location and competitive pricing make it a viable option for those prioritizing value over extravagance.

My company booked this property. No one at check-in. Phone number to call, and the person guided you through the check-in process only to direct you to a lock box. Property was a mess with garbage cans placed around to catch what appeared to be water and paint chips, and the check-in desk is freezing. The floors and carpet were disgusting. The room we were given appeared clean, but the bed looked as though it was from the time the place was built. I travel a lot for my job and have been all over, I must say this establishment ties for 1st in the worst places I've been booked at. Do yourselves a favor and spend the extra money and stay at the Lodges at Sunset Village. It's just down the road, but the place is top-notch. Now that I've seen this establishment and read some of the reviews, this place hasn't changed in over 5 months

Didn’t even get to stay. Got a call today that they were cancelling our reservations for next week for renovations. Called the front desk they said they weren’t aware the renovations were happening either until their boss told them today and said they need to call people and tell them they are getting their renovations cancelled. I find this to be 100% unprofessional and poor business management. I told the front desk lady it wasn’t her fault however, her boss clearly needs educated in business on how to run a successful hotel. Calling people a week prior to their stay and cancelling their reservations is not how that’s done. You can’t tell me you just found out today you were getting reservations done, hotels are made aware of that months in advance so they can have it on their websites for potential customers to be aware of. It was clearly lack of awareness, lack of business education, lack of professionalism and just plain shameful. So my recommendation if you wanna make sure you got a place to stay without worry of it getting cancelled I would stay somewhere else, because it’s hard to tell what excuse they’d use next for last minute cancellations.

I called before our stay October 14-16, 2022, to confirm there was a microwave and a refrigerator. I was told that all of the rooms have a microwave and a refrigerator. However, ours did not.
Our first room had spider webs, a spider, chips on the floor, sticky nightstand with broken drawer and missing knob, black mold in tub jets, mold and dirt in the heater, dirty air filters.
We definitely could not stay in that room so they switched us to another room on the other side of the hotel. It was at least cleaner and it was doable but it wasn’t worth the price by any means. Breakfast consisted of muffins, juice and coffee.
The coffee was not bad.
The ceiling in the lobby area was falling.
I read all the reviews before we went. I thought we would be OK but I will never stay there again. We we were told that they are undergoing renovations. I’m pretty sure it could it should be condemned.

First of all, this motel is in serious need of renovation and updating, but the building has "good bones," and when the scheduled renovations are finished, it should be lovely. The rooms are nice and large, and when my family stayed in Feb '23, we found them to be very clean. I also have to give a shout-out to the staff. They were very polite, pleasant and accommodating. Corine at the front desk was especially helpful. We look forward to going back again, and hope the motel management keep the rates affordable for families to occupy multiple rooms and enjoy Wisp and the beautiful Deep Creek Lake area.

I wanted a place that would allow my 5 pound puppy and they did so a booked a room due to a funeral I am attending. They changed $30.00 extra dollars for my puppy although they advertise pet friendly. So I get there and my mouth dropped to the floor of my car. As soon as you turned into parking lot it looks like a hotel that has been abandoned. Parking lot has pot holes all over it. No attendant after 3:30 pm. If you arrive after that you have to call them and go to the lock boxes attached to the building and they tell what code to put in your box number and get your key card. The ice machines are broken and a sign says if you need ice to go to the front desk and a attendant will get you some, no one here after 3:30 pm. I called them and sorry we can get you ice in the morning!!! Ended up going to store and buying a cooler and ice. The rooms SUCK BIG TIME. DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY. This is the WORSE hotel, motel, inn I have ever stayed in. I will be asking for a refund for sure!!! Terrible!!!

I do not recommend this hotel. The first room we had was on the first floor, terrible smell that made us cough and hard to breathe in from odor. Asked for a refund and they then gave us a room on 4th floor instead. This one was dirty, crumbs from previous guests on table, trash in garage and hair on bathroom floor and sink. No one was working the front desk that evening by the time we went up and discovered that we had a dirty room. There are buckets sitting around to catch the water from the leaking ceiling. I have not received any response back from management about the issues we had and emailed them three times. I would stay away from this place if anyway possible!

I am only wri writing this as a public service announcement. This was absolutely the worst hotel I have ever seen and I have to imagine it will be closed down by the health department very soon. In the hotel lobby there is severe water damage, mildew and multiple buckets on the floor to deal with flooding from what I can only imagine. is a damaged roof. There’s actually nobody to even talk to in this hotel and staff isn’t there past 230 daily. You have to call an outside number and get a code for a lock box to take it to your room. We didn’t even make it that far due to the fact that they were buckets on the floor the elevator was broken there’s a space heater randomly heating a very cold lobby with no staff From what other people report, the rooms aren’t much better. I wouldn’t know because I immediately got a refund and I would strongly discourage people from ever booking with this hotel. Honestly, I have traveled many places and I have never seen anything this bad in my 53 years on this planet. Avoid at all costs!!

Leaky ceiling in lobby, mold in bathroom, mildew smell, broken window in room, pillowcases filthy dirty. air conditioner vent dirty, bathtub dirty. A disaster. It is obvious the owners DO NOT CARE about the reviews they receive. The above issues mentioned months ago in these reviews have still NOT been addressed. I had to book another hotel for my daughter, her friend and her father, because this was a filthy, disgusting hotel. I have traveled to 3rd world countries and have seen cleaner accommodations than this. I am a business owner and I would never allow my business to get to this level. Have some integrity!
