They told me that the Village Butcher had the best hamburger. True. I consume hamburgers with the refined palate of a burger food critic and can definitely say that this was the best hamburger in Morgantown.
Location also comes with: large window to the butcher shop to see the behind-the-scenes action, a bathroom, simplistic hipster-style décor, a selection of really nice cuts of meat for viewing in a refrigerated display counter, and a drink cooler for regular beverages.
Chips that came with the hamburger were . . . chips. The bun was toasted and the appropriate size to the burger. The meat was tasty and flavored well with salt/pepper so that the lettuce and tomato were the only needed toppings. Patty was a little thick, but my comrade that introduced me to the Village Butcher said that usually the burgers were better and not as thick. Let me emphasize that: I already am declaring this the best burger in Morgantown and my friend said that they are usually better.
Hamburger with chips was $15, so you’re paying for the nicer meat.

So, I just went into the store (11.23 AM)....yesterday I called in asking if they had any Buffalo sausage available and the emplyee on the phone said they were out. So, I asked if they could take my order of two links of cajun sausage instead. All the other varieties they had were spicy as well so I asked which one was the less ...no clue....like they don't taste the mix before they fill the casings?So I told him I would pick them up the next day ( today) mid morning. The guy seemed too distracted and quick to dismiss me...l then said if he could pack them under the name Stephen, the pick up person...
Guess what...no order was there...DO YOU THINK I DON'T REALIZE THAT YOU WERE PRETENDING TO WRITE DOWN MY ORDER AND WRAP IT Bye bye, butcher shop ...see how long you last!

Fantastic every time. My husband and I have been coming here since they have opened and we’ve had almost everything on the menu. It’s all delicious and l guess they started doing specials which I’m having as I write this and it’s outstanding (Frisco Burger). The place is also an actual butcher shop. Their pork chops are thick cut but what I really want to rave about is that they did a special order prime rib for us for our family Christmas dinner and the quality was out of this world delicious. I definitely recommend this place.

Wish i had known about this place sooner. What a treat...no comparisons to the quality and taste of the burgers they make and sell. In addition, you can grab good cuts of meat to take home from the butchers counter.

We went for their Meat Monday special, an amazing burger for $6 and some of the best fries I've had for an additional $3. This was the third time going to the Village Butcher and Market and it's been awesome every time. It's definitely becoming one of our favorite places in Morgantown!

Just finished the All American Wagyu Burger with white cheddar and potato salad. Best burger I’ve had by far since moving to Morgantown. Friendly crew and great selection of cuts and sausage to cook at home too. I’ll be back!
