Great country cooking with a huge menu of selections. And speaking of huge, they have one of the largest selections of pies I've ever seen. This will be a must-visit for me every time I'm back in town!

The food was horrible and the table was filthy. My daughter and I have tried to eat her several times but I am done with this place it is a complete waste of good money. Their baked steak is always hard obviously not cooked long enough and their beans are full of grease never again!

Great portions at a fair price. Chicken livers were cooked on the griddle and lightly breaded, which was a first usually I see batter dipped from a deep fryer. Chili fries were "interesting" and were good but the chili skewed more to a tomato-heavy pasta sauce.

I never complain or leave negative comments. But my girlfriend and I ate here for the 1st time tonight. They got our drinks wrong and did not cook my girlfriends meal. There was raw chicken clearly on her plate. The lady said she would not charge us, but when we went to pay, she only discounted the messed up meal 25 percent. My girlfriend only ate 3 bites. The burger i ordered was a simple bacon cheeseburger, and i was brought a mushroom swiss burger. After dealing with the confusion of the drinks and raw chicken, i just said hell with it
and ate the mushroon burger. It wasn't horrible but was a little pink. The owner said the cook was in a hurry. I'm not sure why he was in a hurry since there were only 2 other tables in the whole restaurant. Hopefully, my girl doesn't get food poisoning from the 3 bites she ate! Fingers crossed!

Xlg menu. They have everything. Today I had a bowl of white bean soup and a large slice of yellow cornbread. They had stewed tomatoes over biscuits. These were delicious. Husband had baked steak and gravy corn and carrots and cornbread. They have a large white board with desserts. Peanut butter pie and lemon meringue which was very good. I wish they were located around Barboursville instead of 2hrs. Away, we would be there often.

We ordered the special which was chicken and noodles and a baked steak meal and a slice of lemon pie . The noodles were so hard you could not eat them and they tasted horrible completely raw in the middle (or not made properly) . The potatoes were ok . Baked steak very thin slice of meat and not tender and the pie had what looked like a mold spot and looked old . It doesn’t take much for me or my husband to be happy with food and we spent $31 and didn’t eat anything except the potatoes bc of the quality and taste of the food . I was very sad . We tried burgers last time and weren’t impressed but thought we would give them another chance . We will NEVER spent out hard earned money there again .

Good service and omelete (ordered a Spanish omelet) was tasty. Could maybe have been a little bigger for the price but overall cannot complain. I would say maybe offer an upsize (4 egg?) for a little more. Only ate here once so cannot comment on what the "best dish" is.
