The room had nothing. Superior King. No ice bucket, no cups, no chair, no iron, no soap, no hair dryer, no tub stopper (I like to take a bath), the parking lot has sooooooo many pot holes, it's ridiculous, and most importantly, no coffee maker. The main reason I get that room. He said that people steal things. Well, replace them or shut it down. There is pretty much nothing left in the rooms that could be carried off.
So, when I turned the tv on, it was on like some kind of fight channel and couldn't change it. I tried to turn it off, but could not. Then the fire alarm was cherping. I went the front desk, said I was going to have to change rooms, he said he would fix it. He did put batteries in the fire alarm and got me a new remote. The man that runs it, is very helpful, very friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoy talking with him and I like him, but that place is so bad that I chose to drive an extra 20 minutes today, to stay at a Red Roof that was properly run. First, fix the POT HOLES. Then give your customers what they're paying for. I don't need much, just a place to sleep. It doesn't need to be fancy, just have the basics. I travel for work, could stay anywhere, I'm not paying for it. Just want a place that is clean and gives you what your paying for. THE BASICS!!! Well, I guess those have been stolen and not replaced...I'm sorry, but I cannot stay there again, and that is me, not asking for much, just the BASICS.
Also, no light bulbs in the lamp and the comforter was for a queen size bed, not a king.
Then, when I went to check out, because I NEED a receipt for work, I rang and rang, nobody came. I finally went to my car to see if the receipt was on my app. It was not. They had not used my Redi Rewards #. So, no receipt, no points...
I went back in and rang some more, and someone finally came to the desk. That was a 15 minute process that I did not have time for. I also just spent another 15 minutes talking to Redi Rewards Services correcting all of the missing points.
When I arrived, he told me that the lady in front of me was from corporate. I said, Wow, did you have to show her the rooms? Because I already knew they were missing multiple items. Anyway, although it had been short in the past, nothing as short as the room I was in. It was barron.
It's really sad. The place could be so cute. The pinic tables, the creek and how it is set down in like it is. Just needs so much upkeep/repair/replacement...
