Hearty and Humble at The Humble Tomato

After a full day of skiing, we were thrilled to find The Humble Tomato open on a Monday evening. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed—the hostess greeted us warmly, and our server provided top-notch service throughout the meal.

The cozy and inviting dining area was clean and well-maintained, creating a relaxing atmosphere for our dinner.

I started with the meatballs as an appetizer. The portion included three generously sized meatballs with a mild beef flavor that was satisfying but not overpowering. My Chicken Parmesan entrée came with a fresh, crisp salad topped with a homemade blue cheese dressing that was a standout—creamy and full of flavor.

The Chicken Parmesan itself featured a perfectly breaded chicken breast served over linguine with marinara sauce. The marinara was simple, or perhaps “humble,” staying true to the restaurant’s name. It had a pure, tomato-forward flavor without unnecessary sweetness or heavy seasoning. While it lacked bold intensity, it was fresh and satisfying in its simplicity.

I can’t wait to return and try their pizza—if the rest of the menu is any indication, it should be fantastic!

Our experience was mixed. The pizza tasted great however the linguine with meatballs was very bland. Meatballs did not taste fresh, and sauce was under seasoned. We also ordered an appetizer of garlic knots, however we did not receive those. The waiter was nice enough to take them off the bill and give them to us anyway to take home. Inside atmosphere is unique in a good way. Prices are reasonable.

Brunch was out of this world. Highly recommend chicken and waffles and the breakfast calzone. The spinach salad is quite small and average for $15 salad (and without a house made dressing).

Waitress was wonderful. She kept apologizing for the food taking so long, but we didn't care, the atmosphere is just so great. Hostess needs a day off or replacement or something. Not friendly or accommodating and bordered on rude.

Had a really nice brunch at the Humble Tomato. I had their Humble Salad with grilled chicken, which was really tasty and filling. I also had a gin martini from the bar. It was delicious. Their sausage breakfast pizza was really good, too. The eggs that topped the pizza were a little overdone. We sat outside in the garden patio. It was beautiful and the temperature was just right. Service was outstanding. Highly recommend The Humble Tomato.

Wonderful dining experience with delicious Italian food and wonderful staff. I recommend the chicken Parma Sean but salads are great too! The staff was super attentive despite being busy. Quick to deliver foods and drinks and a great historic interior.

Okay, listen up—if you haven’t tried the pizza from The Humble Tomato in Lewisburg, you’re seriously missing out. 😤🔥

First off, let’s talk about the crust. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside—like, it’s the kind of crust you want to keep nibbling on even when you’re full. Then, the sauce? It’s got that sweet-and-tangy kick that just works—not too overpowering, but enough to make every bite pop. 🍅👌

Now, the toppings. That pepperoni? Crispy and perfectly greasy (the good kind). The sausage? Absolutely flavor-packed—you can tell it’s fresh and not just any store-bought stuff. And the cheese? Pure melt-in-your-mouth perfection—gooey, stretchy, just the right amount of mozzarella to balance everything out.

The Humble Tomato doesn’t play around when it comes to quality. Seriously, every bite felt like a little slice of pizza heaven. 🤤✨ Plus, the vibe inside is chill, the staff is super friendly, and you can tell they’re all about serving up a legit pizza experience.

If you're in the Lewisburg area, do yourself a favor and hit this spot up. Your taste buds will thank you. 🍕 #PizzaGoals #HumbleTomato #FoodieFind

This is a cute restaurant inside and out. We ate here at lunch and had a pizza, tater tots, and a Caesar salad. We also had Aperol Spritz's. The staff was all super friendly, the restaurant clean, and they had a beautiful garden and patio. Food was delish!

Everything about the restaurant is wonderful except the lack of informing customers of a credit card usage charge until you get your check. We had two Hawk Knob Ciders, the Tripper Pizza, and Bread sticks. We ate outside on the patio with a beautiful veranda of garden and eatery tables. Also, the view was nice overlooking downtown Lewisburg.
