Quiet accommodations in a historic mansion. Perfect spot for fishing 🎣, hiking, night sky viewing, and accessing the restaurants of Warm Springs. The Waterwheel restaurant is recommended.

The Summer Kitchen is a separate building. The upstairs is modern with dishwasher while the downstairs does not have all of the amenities as it was built for the movie 🍿 “Sommersby”.

There’s accessible hunting for disabled veterans nearby.

Everything one wants for a ROMANTIC GETAWAY from business and clock watching. Dive into a slower time of nostalgic charm with your forever love💝
Beautiful views will give you both tranquility and peace. Not far away, day trips with hiking and golfing, or winter skiing can be made to The Homestead, and food is delicious at several eateries in the area. Check out both locations for whatever your interests are.

What a beautiful house and location. We loved our two-night stay in such a lovely spot. It was fun visiting with Pam and Ron, hearing about the history of the house, exploring the grounds, enjoying two delicious meals, and relaxing between activities.

The husband and I celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary at this amazing, historical mansion. We love to fly fish and the Jackson River was just a walk away. The property is secluded and nestled in a National Forest. The house is beautifully decorated in time period furniture and decor with all the amenities (including great Wi-fi connection) for pure comfort. I enjoyed hearing a Whippoorwill in the distance each evening. The breakfast each morning was delicious and was a great start for a good day of biking and fishing. Our host, Pam and Ron, helped us with where to go for dinner and are very knowledgeable about where to fish and how to get anywhere. This Bed and Breakfast was recommended to us by a coworker and we recommend this place - you will enjoy every minute!

We had a lovely visit. Our room was excellent and the area is beautiful. There are many places we didn’t get to explore so we plan to return. The breakfast was very yummy including one day a to go bag since we needed to leave early. Fall colors made this a great area.

If you’re traveling through Virginia, and want an absolutely gorgeous, restful and peaceful place to stop and visit and take a break, this is the place. A visit here would make a great special holiday like a honeymoon, second honeymoon or anniversary. I’ve stayed in other B&Bs, but this one is THE BEST, and it’s because the people that run it know what they are doing.

Spent the weekend at this charming, historic site where the views are breathtaking and the hosts are absolutely amazing. Pam and Ron make you feel right at home, easily sharing their hospitality and knowledge of the history of the area and Warwickton itself. The B&B has all the modern amenities, yet is tastefully decorated in period fashion. Breakfasts were delightful and filling. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already planning another trip there. You will not be disappointed with this B&B!

We just spent 3 nights here and what a wonderful experience. The location is at the end of a forest service road on the gentle and clean Jackson River. The hosts are delightful and full of great stories of their restoring this 1848 mansion. The house is so nice and comfortable with 18' ceilings, wonderful yard and garden plus many quiet places to sit and visit. Just out the front door are several trail heads for hiking or an easy nature trail we walked before the wonderful breakfast. Food was delicious and plentiful with many local fruits and ingredients. The hosts were so helpful providing everything we needed. We were with another couple and we both agree it's a place to return and hang out. Easy access to Douthat State Park and Warm/Hot Springs very close. Even drove into Clifton Forge for railroad museum. Go and enjoy yourself.
