During our drive home from New York to Illinois we frequently stop overnight in Washington, PA. Since some of our Washington choices have needed renovations, I explored other options and chose the Triadelphia Hampton Inn & Suites—less than 30 miles from Washington, PA, and a little closer to home.

The receptionist at check-in was friendly and helpful. Since this was our first visit, she upgraded us to a King suite. This was one of the nicest and cleanest Hampton Inns we’ve stayed in. Our suite was comfortable and perfect for our needs. The quality and freshness of the food at the breakfast buffet was better than similar hotel stays. Highly recommend!

We came in to the area over the weekend to go to the Capitol Theatre in downtown Wheeling. When we travel domestically for short stays it's generally always at a Hampton Inn. We find them to be clean and enjoy the free breakfast and this Hampton Inn didn't disappoint. Spacious clean room, comfortable bed (and pillows!) and a nice breakfast. (this morning I had an egg white frittata, perfect crispy bacon and fried potatoes with peppers and onions) All of the staff we interacted with were very pleasant and welcoming from the breakfast buffet, front desk whether checking in/out or calling to schedule a wake up call to the housekeeping staff we'd pass in the hallway that would say hi. It was a nice stay and I enjoyed taking a dip in the heated pool. If we ever find ourselves back in the area we will back for sure. Thank you.

I am so irate right now! I called this Hampton Inn and asked them if they did pool parties for birthdays there. The woman who answered the phone said she didn’t know so she needed to ask her manager. The manager got on the phone and stated that in order to have a pool party there that I had to rent the conference room. I told her that was fine. She said she would write down my name for the conference room for that day and that she would have someone reach out with the contract and get payment.
Several days later I spoke to Rose. All was well. We were at the end of our conversation and she just wanted to confirm that we didn’t need any rooms. I told her “No. We just need your pool really” and chuckled. She then responded by telling me that I would have to purchase hotel rooms for all of the guests that wanted to use the pool. I told her I already spoke to the manager of the hotel and she is the one that confirmed we would have access to the pool as long as we rented the conference room (like most hotels). She said that was not their policy and I was basically told “too bad” in a nice way. Now I am scrambling trying to find a hotel that will actually let us use the pool. Would have saved me a lot of time and headache if the manager and the girl in charge of the chain of hotels were on the same page.

Rooms are average and most of the exercise equipment didn’t work. One of the three treadmills was working and ellipticals and recumbent bike are all out of order. We picked Hampton in over the others because it looked like they had a decent gym. Oh well?

When I stayed here the exterior was being painted and all the windows had been covered with paper. I asked for a room that wasn't papered over and was told ALL the windows were covered. I eventually realized the room also had no air conditioning or heat. I checked in so late I put up with it. The next day they moved me to another room where - surprise - no paper on the windows and the AC was working. Turned out the painters had papered over all the air vents for the AC/Heat units and were having to undo their mistake. So - not the hotel's fault technically, I just happened to catch them those days. |The desk staff was mostly pleasant. I don't require shining faces at the desk so if it doesn't happen I don't notice. |The rooms, however, need renovation. While spacious, they feel a little old fashioned. The lighting is a bit dim. They're probably as clean as they can be but they're old enough that they'll never sparkle again. But everything worked - the fridge, the microwave. Even the shower drained properly. So - no startling complaints.|Outside there was so much heavy equipment (for the painters) that half the parking spaces in front were roped off. Again, not a permanent situation, but not a nice surprise. |I looked at the breakfast buffet and it was minimal: scrambled eggs, sausage waffle maker. That's pretty much it. There's a Bob Evans just down the hill and I went there. |The immediate area is covered with at least a dozen very good franchise restaurants. Longhorn, Chipotle, Olive Garden, etc. There's even a Cold Stone Creamery. So there's lots of eating choices. Also stores like Koh's, Walmart, Books a Million, TJ Max, 14-screen theater, a HUGE Cabelas... You're not isolated here. ||But the hotel itself was just OK. I stay at Hampton Inns fairly often and rely on a level of quality that this place didn't quite hit. But if all you need is a night of good sleep, this does fine.

I made a last minute reservation, & appreciate how welcoming, accommodating, and helpful the front desk lady (Ebony) was throughout my stay.

The rooms were nice, clean, & the beds are comfy.
The room & bathroom are fully stocked with essentials. The toiletries were a life saver, & the quality of the products is amazing.

They also have a hot continental breakfast & the food is tasty. The lady who worked the cafe area was so sweet, attentive. We had a relaxing & comfortable stay.

Took 4 rooms to get one that was clean and had working air conditioning. They did make it right and upgraded me to a suite, but still not acceptable. Room 1 had a used bar of soap in the shower, room 2 had no air conditioning and was about 80 degrees, room 3 had urine all over the toilet, finally they upgraded me to suite which was clean and in working order. They were very nice, but this should never had happened.

Internet Speeds:
Fast: 64 Mbs down 50 Mbs up
Normal: 50 Mbs down, 50 Mbs up

Room: Big, clean. Computer chair was half broken.

Service: They make you check in to get a digital key, not ideal for someone who wants no front desk contact.

Decent hotel overall
