We had a perfect stay! The staff here is just fantastic, so helpful, and friendly. The hotel is located super close to Wheeling Island, lots of restaurants and the cute downtown area. The pool is nice and clean, as were the rooms. They have two hot tubs, and you get breakfast every morning. I highly recommend this hotel if you’re visiting the area, literally no negatives at all.

What a great place to stay! Steve and Kathy were the best welcome committee you can imagine. Check in was smooth and easy and the rooms were large and comfortable. Monday nights are the manager special FREE DINNER so we enjoyed fried chicken, green beans, and mashed potatoes and gravy with wine or beer. What an unexpected surprise — and it was really good. The hotel has a complimentary shuttle if you want to go into town for a meal or a meeting, as well as the standard free breakfast plus a lunch snack to take with you when you leave. Really, you cannot beat this hotel for a friendly and comfortable stop on your travels.

A group of us spent the weekend because of a dance competition that was in the area. The place was very welcoming and clean and the staff did an excellent job. We were shuttled to and from our venue with prompt and courteous service. The front desk gave us tips on dining services and were always there to make sure our stay was more than we anticipated. A special thank you to Hassom, Tierra, Rue and Karen for going above and beyond to make our stay an exceptional one. Would highly recommend this Hampton Inn to travelers going to Wheeling.

We made reservations for a very late check-in, but the weather made us even later, so I called to let them know. The really nice lady I spoke to went ahead and checked us in and had our keys waiting at the front desk for us!! We got there at 2am and we were very tired and so grateful!
Thank you to the lady who was working the late night of Friday into Saturday, April 11th/12th. I was so tired I couldn't remember her name but she was so nice and helpful and we are so grateful for your help!!

Very nice hotel. The room was big, bed was comfortable and we had no issues whatsoever! We ordered take out from Bob Evans which was right next to the parking lot so convenient for us since it was pouring rain! We did notice there was a Taco Bell and Perkins across the street as well. Check in and out was by digital key so not even a trip to the line at the front desk.

1) The room was very cozy and clean 2) The staff were all friendly and obviously attentive to service 3) They have a free shuttle service which was great to take advantage of the night we went to a concert 4) Their breakfast buffet is stellar. Wonderful hot options. 5) There was construction outside the hotel and they were completely redoing some of the rooms on our floor. So they’re clearly investing in keeping the place up. And there was no detectable noise from the construction in our rooms

Up until my last night I would have given a 10!!! |I travel weekly and have been a DIAMOND for years!|Arrived Monday night and just missed the manager’s reception the hotel offers. They were cleaning up wine, beer, fried chicken, and all the sides. Had I known about it in advance I would have definitely had dinner there.|The lady at the front desk was SUPER SWEET and offered that if I was here on another Monday she would make a plate for me if I didn’t get out of work soon enough! LOVE THAT WELCOMING, HOME FEELING!!!|The hotel itself is VERY WELL KEPT! Clean, appealing and filled with friendly helpful employees……mostly.|Last night I exited my room to pick up my dinner delivery at the front desk.|Returned to the room and my digital key displayed on error message that my “deadbolt is locked from the inside and someone needs to unlock the door”!|Considering I travel alone this was frustrating to say the least.|I went to the front desk and showed|the female that was working the message on my phone. She said that there is a known issue and made me 2 hard room cards.|I returned to my room and of course THEY DIDN’T WORK EITHER! So back to the desk I go. This time a gentleman named “Stan” I believe took a “emergency” card and it made the door unlock correctly. The only problem was if I left the room I had to make the deadbolt catch on the door jam and keep it open or go to the front desk for someone to let me in my room! Stan did mention moving me but my food was getting cold, I was tired, and quite frustrated at this point. I stayed since I was checking out today. What did bother me was there was no offer of compensation for being locked out of my room.

We stayed here years ago and it’s even nicer than we remember!! Valerie at the front desk was awesome and Karen was pleasant as she took us back and forth from the racetrack! This property has everything you could ask for! Great rooms, great grounds and a cool outside hot tube! |Nearby eateries are also great!! Suggestion? A hour maybe from 10-11 in the evening for adults only on the pool and Sauna areas would be amazing!!
