All that I care about is a clean room, comfortable bed and the price of a room. My room was clean, my bed was comfortable and the cost was over 1/2 lower than the other downtown hotel. Staff is always friendly. I request a room in the front side of the hotel, which is away from the train tracks in the rear. Convenient to historic downtown and the bike trails/scenic railroad. They offer breakfast, but I choose to frequent/support the downtown businesses.

The room was a lot nicer than expected. Clean sheets and bathroom. The hotel itself is old and needs a renovation. The staff is very helpful and friendly, they even have dedicated indoor bike spaces, safe from the outdoors. The breakfast was good, not great. This hotel is also .3 miles from the Amtrak station in Cumberland,Md.

I tried to cancel one of my nights due to unforeseen events. I called the hotel and they said since I made the reservation through a third party they could not cancel my one night. I called the third party and they called the hotel to let them know I was not coming in the one night.

The staff was very rude when checking out. The desk clerk would not tell us the charges and my husband and I left without knowing what we paid for the room. The desk clerk said something about parking, but we did not park in a paid lot!

The only good thing about this property is the fact that it is across the street from AMTRAK and no other hotels close by. Other local hotels do not have shuttle service and Uber/Taxi's are hit and miss -- mostly miss. I find the rooms to be dark and dank. The beds are not comfortable. Breakfast is a joke -- boiled eggs and not sure kept properly refrigerated. Original oat meal and no toppings. No juice and not fruit. The property is in need of a MAJOR renovation/upgrade.

Positive: In the heart of downtown Cumberland MD. Can walk to almost everything Negative: Staff was extremely rude. Amenities were very slim unless you wanted to buy from them from behind their counter in cash only. No ice machine, it was broken, the remote control was broken, the refrigerator barely cooled. Room not fully cleaned.

Dirty and dated. Ratty damaged decor, floor was dirty and sticky, bathroom had mildew and stains. Hair and dirt in the made bed, clearly reused sheets. Slept on top with my sweater as a pillow. Grossed out. Kid at the front desk refused me a receipt saying it was against policy. What?
BTW....elevator is still out of order.

👎👎 I used this place to crash on my way to North Carolina. Very dirty place. Smelly lobby, halls, and elevator. I had to cover my nose when I was in the elevator, it is that bad! My room same thing smells bad. No parking spots available so i had to park in the parking garage. Definitely not recommended.

I blame myself for staying here because I read the reviews. Thinking maybe it wasn’t that bad based on the photos of the room. Please either remodel this hotel or tear it down. The furniture in the lobby is worn and looks dirty. Only 1 elevator works and it makes a horrible noise as if it’s about to breakdown. You get off the elevator to the room floors and every door needs to be painted. The paint is chipped on every door, this is unacceptable. The floor of the shower/tub is completely worn, definitely didn’t feel comfortable using it. Completely unsanitary. I don’t have a reason to travel to this area again but if so would prefer to sleep in my car. This was the ultimate worst!!!!
