Location is great. The bar is super cozy cute and the staff are welcoming! Rooms are ok, water pressure is great, and linens are comfy. Beds are a little lumpy but you can get comfortable. However, we were woken up at 5:28am by workers in the vacant room next to us, hammers were used before 8am. No mention of it whatsoever at checkout, and we were too cranky to bring it up.

This was a last minute drop-in booking after we fled another horrible place. (No kidding.) The Billy came highly recommended by another lodge that was full. You check in at the bar/restaurant, where the delightful staff makes you a drink that comes free with the room. Then she takes you to the room herself to make sure everything is the way it should be. Yes, there is a hit-you-in-the-face musty smell for which they have an air purifier running. True, you need an app on your phone to watch anything much on the tv. Rebecca will help there. We didn't watch the tv, or eat there. I think the best thing about The Billy is the EFFORT that they put into making the rooms nice and comfortable, being sure you are comfortable and pleased. That matters. So does the fair price.

What a Great experience, the decor refreshing 70ish with an subtle attention to detail. The lounge and restaurant do not miss a beat. The food served will please every palate from a hearty meal to the dietary conscience. Top it off with amazing detailed service and a comfortable atmosphere. What else can you ask for in Davis, WV or anywhere.

Such a rare wonderful gem in the desolate void. Rooms are clean, they remind me of a Jersey shore motel from the 80s. The ish kitchen has an amazing variety of cultural blends that make you salivate and question if you’re still in WV. Make sure you tip your bartender

Outstanding food, rooms need comforts. For the discerning foodie, in a funky, artsy town, the dinner choices are varied and outstandingly prepared with excellent ingredients. Pro bartender and waitstaff. The mid-century furniture, outdated TV interface, (no tv reception), understated and outdated design need improvements. If you’re coming off the trail, it’s a warm shelter with plenty of hot water, although the bathroom is circa-1965. Cheap carpet over concrete. The price is reasonable for the food and lodging. We suggest a cheap coffee maker for each of the 9-10 rooms, a table ? Chairs that are comfy to sit in. Would we eat here again? Vegetarian and gluten free? Often. Would we stay here again? They’re probably the best accommodations around.

We didn’t stay over, but checked out the rooms and popped into the cafe/bar. Love the decor and the vibe.

They don’t have many rooms (maybe 10?) so if you’re passing through, be sure to book ahead.

Good location- close to charming shops and restaurants.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, and some are pet-friendly. Ish is amazing, and the staff is terrific. The cocktails and Mickey's are fabulous! 😍😍

What a gem!

We typically rough it on trips to the mountains - camping or cabins - but for this trip we decided to treat ourselves to something a bit fancier. The Billy Motel, while perhaps not "fancy" per se, was truly a memorable experience.

The rooms are well equipped, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed. The restaurant had delicious food and excellent service. The location was ideal for exploring the local sights.

Highly recommend!
