great place to stay the folks who own it and work there are extremely nice and the rooms are spotless and there is plenty of hot water in the shower. it's very convenient to a lot of great places to go to and right beside a civil war site. I reccomend this place very highly

Visiting Petersburg for an Art Event at the South Side Depot. Booked our stay at Fort Hill Motel. What a wonderful place. The Owners were wonderful and the rooms comfortable and immacculate. If you arer passing through Petersburg WV. this is the place to stay!|Dwayne S|Stephen City VA

I arrived there and fromt person lady was friendly at first here little dog cane to the door which was fine and all but they about turn me down becuz I'm a smoker but promise not to smoke at all everything was good until they saw on my ID I was. Local then I was treated like a criminal lady was so rude and threatening. For anyone looking I recommended any place but here they don't know how to treat people.

The rooms were immaculate. I can't say enough about how clean this room was. Even the parking lot was clean and free of trash. Tastefully decorated and lovingly maintained. The bedding was straight out of grandmas house...like a warm soft hug. The proprietors were welcoming and warm. | Cell service is hit and miss in this area but we no issues with the wifi service. The view was beautiful. |Don't pass this little gem by.....its well worth the stay.

Excellent place to stop if you are doing the Mid Atlantic BDR. Rooms are nicely done and clean. Location is great. The service was better than at many big chain hotels. Would definitely stay here again.

This motel is a nice surprise in a town with few options. I’ve stayed here twice. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. It is a quite location and the view is very nice. The owner checked me in both times and she was extremely friendly and helpful.

Positively the most clean room and hotel I've ever stayed in~absolutely no bad smells, no dust in hidden crannies, newly painted and veritable stacks of very large, soft and fluffy white towels and washcloths. The room was decorated in excellent taste, the amenities were new, the linens were of high quality, pillows were perfect, the pool was incredible~clean, with a great depth, plenty of space for laying out or under a pergola, well appointed and private to the max. The views were gorgeous, the staff genuinely friendly, cheerful and helpful. I can't say I've ever stayed at any hotel wherein I've enjoyed the experience more than this one. Truly.

I recently stayed at the Fort Hill Motel for a business trip. There are few options in the area and to be honest, I wasn’t looking forward to staying after reading some of the reviews and seeing some of the pictures online. However, this was a perfect reminder of why “not to read a book by the cover.” I was pleasantly surprised by the room; it had been completely renovated and was clean. It was a beautiful and peaceful with a quaint country setting. Definitely give this place a chance if you’re in the area. It’s not a 5-star hotel but it’s definitely an extremely nice place. There’s plenty of sitting spaces outside to enjoy the views so kick back and relax!
