Super family friendly area of the park. It's visually stunning, yet has the simple things like playgrounds, basketball and volleyball courts. There's some outstanding hiking options, picnic areas with grills, visitor center and clean, well maintained bathrooms. Parking is expansive and large enough for any size rig or RV. I had 3 bars of Verizon 4G LTE Roaming throughout the area.

Gorgeous, one of the best highlights of the trip to New River Gorge National Park. We did the tunnel trail and the grandview rim trail to turkey spur. The views were awesome and it was a wild and wonderful experience! 😊

Breathtaking and very easy to access. Time well spent here at the overlook. There are also a few trails of varying difficulties within walking distance of the parking lot and overlook. It was well worth the stop.

New River Gorge National Park has so many magnificent views, every time you thought it couldn't get better it does. Grandview is a special overlook and shows the uniqueness of what it has to offer. We were surprised by the size of the facility being so small, but soon rewarded with magnificent views. This facility was clean, organized and well cared for. Grounds were well maintained, grasses cut and no trash to be seen, restrooms were clean and well maintained as well, job well done. Staff was well informed, took the time with you to answer all questions and courteous as well. We were very pleased of our time at New River and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, there was so much that we didn't see and do so we expect to be back in the near future.

The visitor center is small, but the surrounding trails are grand indeed. I took the Grandview and Castle Rock trails. The Castle Rock trail was a bit challenging, but definitely worth it. The park offers other activities and has an amphitheater.

Lovely. I highly recommend the Grandview Rim trail. I think they rate it as moderate, but it's easy. There are a lot of overlooks along the trail as good as the main overlook. Pack a lunch as there are picnik tables here and there, along the trail, nestled around the rhododendrons. The tunnel trail is also a winner as you walk past massive sandstone boulders and views of the mountains.

Another long drive off the beaten path to reach the Grandview Visitors center but worth the while. The facility was small but nice and the staff friendly. Grandview itself is a nice area. We arrived late in the day but glad we made it the overlook was just a short hike from the parking lot and offered magnificent views The park and facilities were well maintained and clean.
