Beds were terribly uncomfortable and hard. Breakfast was waffle mix and cereal. The morning of my checkout before checkout my room card stopped working. Overall I've stayed at motels that were twice as comfortable as this place. The staff was nice, but that's basically the only positive.

Not clean at all. We had to try 3 rooms before getting one that even appeared to be cleaned. Hotel did not offer a discount or refund. Trash hadn’t been taken out from previous guest. Bars of soap left from previous guests. Tv didn’t work. Sheets not on bed in one room. No elevator.

Clean comfortable low-cost hotel. Close to New River Gorge National Park, my intended destination, but not much within walking distance besides Shell and Tudors. This is definitely an older hotel so noise travels. The person directly above my room decided that they wanted to keep me up part of the night by stomping around or whatever they were doing. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast, as other reviews say, could use some work.

Wonderful and friendly staff. Clean room with modern upgrades. Very comfortable beds with great pillows and clean sheets. Great heaters in the room this winter and hot good high- pressure showers. Good breakfast with hard boiled eggs, fresh waffles, hot coffee.

First off, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The towels and bedding seemed to be clean. Rates were affordable. That is the best I can offer at this time. Some serious lack of maintenance in the building I was in. Toilet leaked at the floor, damaged light switches, and the beds were not the most comfortable. That was the first room I stayed in. Requested another room for the rest of my stay. Again, the staff was great about it. The second room was in better shape overall, but I think someone needs to do a serious assessment of the property and perform some repairs or updates. Some lack of cleanliness in areas. Could be better BUT could be worse.

WOW - could be SO much better! Chose hotel because of a good price (small town?) and free breakfast. Upon checking in I was re-directed to the non-connected "extension wing" rooms; the main hotel is in renovation. Got in, the carpet looked dirty and worn and i was hesitant to take my socks off. I did, stepped on something which turned out to be a clipped toenail.(!!) Shower is a cylindrical fiberglass "capsule" that leaks all over the toilet floor and the bottom of the door was lined with grunge. Security lock was broken from the door. A vacuum cleaner left in the hallway outside my door remained there overnight. Apparently the location houses homeless people sent there by aid agencies; In the morning a person loaded their 12" x 18" shoulder bag in the breakfast area taking literally 1/3 of the available breakfast.

Positive: The staff was friendly. The sheets were fresh and the beds were comfortable. The pillows were amazing. The hotel is pet friendly! Negative: The bathroom was a little outdated but nothing that caused an issue.
