My son is a student at WVWC. I love the Baxa. It is clean. Small. So cute. Best hotel bed I have ever slept in. Cute little patio where I could work outside. Went out of their way to get me a extension cord to charge. As a female solo traveler felt super safe.

2025 update: This place is solid and reliable. Absolutely clean, but old-school cool for sure. An OG 'motor lodge' Not for everyone but if you come into it with the right expectations you won't find any better anywhere. Make no mistake, I am a fan-just managing expectations

Quiet. Clean. Friendly. Safe. Nothing fancy. Good choice if you're visiting Trans Allegheny Asylum. Several good restaurants nearby. Quiet little town but good alternative to the corporate boxes at exit 99.

Very nice charming hotel/motel located in downtown Buckhannon. Room, linens & facility clean. Older hotel that has been renovated & upgraded. Pleasently surprised. Loved the shower temperature & water pressure. Staff very nice & friendly. Look forward to staying there again in the future.

My husband and I have recently been staying a few days here and there at the Baxa Inn lately. We own property close by and are building a little family cabin. The price is great. The rooms are always clean and smell wonderful. The staff is very helpful and friendly especially Wendy, she goes above and beyond. Very highly recommend staying here. The location is right on down town and close to everything.

We just left Baxa Inn after a two night stay. The staff felt like family by the time we left. The lobby, the rooms and the outside area were decorated so cute. The mattress made for a great night sleep. Everything was clean and inviting. We would definitely stay there again.

I recently stayed at the Baxa Inn and was thrilled with the Motel. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was completely professional and down to earth people. They treated me like family and with complete kindness. If you're ever in Buckhannon and need a motel I would stay at the Baxa. I was there for my high school reunion and was so glad I stayed at the Baxa. The new owner has upgraded the place beyond belief. It was a great experience and the best decision I've made in a while.

Just back from a weekend in Buckhannon with a nice stay at The Baxa. We were in town for a memorial service and the hotel where most folks were staying was full - but so glad we discovered this charming purple place as it was quiet, comfortable, and retro in a good way! Lovely breakfast nook with warm biscuits and gravy available among other offerings. Super sweet and helpful proprietors and staff too - they have and continue to work hard sprucing up the historic main building plus cute row of traditional motel rooms behind it. Thanks for your hospitality!

Had a nice stay at the Baxa Inn owned by Samuel L. Baxa who checked us in upon our arrival. The room was comfortable with very nice amenities: Microwave, Black & Decker refrigerator with separate freezer, Coffee Maker, HD flat screen TV with "Clean Remote", King-size bed, hair dryer, A/C around the corner from the bed so it didn't blow directly on you, luggage & clothes rack in addition to chest of drawers & nightstand, WiFi, extra towels & soaps, mints and a storm door with a screen. The place is immaculate and quiet! Sam is very engaging and eager to fix any problem. The bathroom is very 50's with the tile and bathroom fixtures. There's also a medicine cabinet above the sink! The bathroom door does need re-plumbing because it doesn't close completely & the shower needs a very firm handle turn to shut off the water. Be careful! No waiting on hot water. I did request a fitted sheet for the King bed which aren't currently available. Reasonable rates with senior discounts available. Located around the corner from Main Street with plenty of food & drink options within walking distance.
