From the minute we walked in, our experience was top of the line. The inn is gorgeous and classy, and we felt right at home immediately. This is the first place we have spent the night that we could not think of one improvement to suggest. Our room was so nice and spotless that we didn't want to leave. The bar has an exceptional cocktail list, with my compliments to the mixologist. Sitting in front of the fireplace enjoying drinks on a cold night was so enjoyable. Even the popcorn snacks were delicious. Not to be left out is the exceptional service that we received every employee we encountered.

Absolutely wonderful! The beautiful Inn is so warm and welcoming. The staff makes you feel at home and the room was so comfy and quiet. The Christmas decorations were amazing. I can’t say enough about the food and specially crafted cocktails that we enjoyed by the fire in the evening. We just love it there and will happily return

This place is all about atmosphere. It’s the kind of place you come with someone you love and when your kids get older you make them cringe with all the sappy stories about your times there. I got engaged to the love of my life while we stayed at the General Lewis Inn and we’ve never looked back. My wife and I have stayed at the General Lewis probably 10-12 times and we love it just as much each time. The food is wonderful, the drinks are perfect, but the best part of this place is the people. The ones who you can tell know it’s a labor of love. From the big stuff to the littlest details. The accommodations are clean and comfortable and your proximity to all the best spots in Lewisburg couldn’t be better. Do yourself a favor and stay here. Have a drink by the fireplace and enjoy some time with someone you love.

We could’ve stayed in the lounge drinking wine by the fire for about 5 more days- that’s how cozy and wonderful the vibe was. The candlelight and music playing in the lobby and up the stairs was so romantic. My husband and I had no reason to explore the town- every need was met within the General Lewis Inn. Great food, great cocktails, gorgeous environment.

Such a beautiful and relaxing place to stay! We love staying at The General Lewis Inn! The historic Inn is gorgeous, relaxing, and incredibly well-located for visiting the local shoos and restaurants. ||Each room is slightly different in decor and incredibly comfortable. ||The staff is always friendly and helpful. ||The lounge area is the perfect place to spend an evening with one of their amazing cocktails or a glass of wine or have a cup of coffee and muffin in the morning.

Always the Most relaxing, comfortable, decompressing stay of any Inn we have ever stayed at! No question. There is an Atmosphere in the Inn that is embedded in the structure and the furnishings. The bedding details are worth taking notes on and writing down, the baths wonderfully done, and the mattresses just cradle you for the evening. We 'move around' on any other mattresses and bedding anywhere, --- including at our own homes. Not when staying at the Inn! You rarely move during the night. Sit down in the lounge and your heartbeat will noticeably Slow! The General Lewis Inn is one of our Favorite places, --- and we have traveled widely!

I stayed here in July & fell in love with the Inn. I was very excited to come back with my husband. The Christmas decorations are absolutely beautiful, the staff is amazing, the restaurant is great, the bartender is so nice & the rooms are beautiful. I highly recommend staying & enjoying the ambiance.
