My room said non-smoking but it clearly smelled like smoke. Today all of my clothes smell like smoke. I had to let the water run on full hot for 15 minutes before it got remotely warm. There is never anyone actually at the front desk. You have to pick up a phone and call them and then wait for them to come to you. The pillows are old and lumpy and the pillow cases have been used so much they have those fabric balls on them. The only thing good about it is the location.

A staff member openly admitted that they intermittently have issues with bed bugs due to the older headboards not being replaced. God knows how many “old headboards” are left in the building. Unfortunately this was not told to me until I was already bitten several times, and my belongings were potentially infested. The front desk employee was kind enough to “sterilize” my clothes in their dryer. The breakfast was an absolute joke. The bar attached to this hotel is very clean with great bartenders and well priced drinks.

I’m not one to ever leave reviews but here we are…hotel is very dated, dingey and unwelcoming, no one ever at the front desk, sheets were stained and pill-y, pillows were super lumpy and uncomfortable, one pillow was covered in previous guests hair, door was beat to heck around the dead bolt which didn’t make me feel very secure.

Also I’ve seen where previous guests have noted lack of hot water—the room I stayed in was the opposite. The hot water came out scalding with instant steam and I struggled to regulate it.

I stay here every time I'm in town. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly, to include the bartenders in the lounge downstairs. It's within walking distance of downtown for food options as well!

Great hotel until they charge you for "stealing towels." I had a crew stay here while working in town and had a random $45 charge hit my card. After further investigation, they accused my crew member of stealing towels. Funny part is we had to come back the next night unexpectedly, and checked back in to the same hotel. And like magic, the next day I was charged AGAIN with a miscellaneous $25 charge. I'll be digging deeper into this matter and figuring out why they're charging me with these ridiculous charges. We stay at hotels just about every week of the year and this is the first time I've EVER been charged for this nonsense.

We stayed over the weekend, the rain shower head is awesome! The staff was friendly and the rooms are clean, very comfortable bed. We'll be back!

I stayed here for a wedding. The check in process was quick and easy. The staff was super nice, the bed was comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower was good. We didn’t have a trash can, and the front desk was quick to get us one. Our room could have been a little bit cleaner, but it wasn’t too bad. The rest of the hotel that I saw was really clean. We got the wedding party ready in another room that was updated, and that room was very clean. Overall we had a great experience at the hotel! I would stay here again.

I'd like to think of something nice to say about this hotel, but I can't think of anything. It is very, very dated and has signs posted asking us to pardon their remodel, but it doesn't appear that any action is being taken to remodel. I wanted to go for a drink before bed, but the smell in the hall outside of the bar area deterred me. The staff is rude and doesn't understand the first thing about hospitality or making one feel welcome. I usually prefer to stay in local hotels when possible, but the next time I'm in Buckhannon, I'll be selecting a chain, or staying over in Weston.
