Stopped here on a whim for an early (1030am) lunch and so glad we did! Husband and I were very impressed! The atmosphere alone is fantastic. The food was delicious! The owners/staff is great. All smiles and very nice! We will absolutely be back!!

Stopped here by chance on a road trip, and I’m so glad that we did! Awesome service and the BEST brisket I’ve ever had! The phat daddy dog was also 1000/10. Of course, we had to get a bread pudding to go! Everything we had was awesome, sides and all! To quote my husband, we literally “had an out of body experience” with how delicious this food was! We will definitely be back our next time through Charleston!

My friend and I stopped here for lunch just the other day. The food was amazing, probably the best pulled pork sandwich I have ever had. The macaroni was phenomenal! But, this isn't even the best part. We met Ebony, the restaurant owner. The world needs more Ebony's! Such a great soul who looks out for her community! She does "Pay it Forward" meals daily for those who need a meal. Stop at this restaurant, you will not be disappointed! THANK YOU, Ebony for being who you are, it was a pleasure meeting you!

Walked in the door, and the first 4 things I noticed were, eye popping color, cleanliness, warmth, and someone calling out, "Welcome to Phat Daddy's." So, the color, not sure if everyone would care for it, but I found the bright colors to be cheerful and welcoming, loved it! Cleanliness smelled clean. Looked clean and no sticky residues on the table, seats or menus-was CLEAN. That is a huge plus in my book. Warm, not sure if the air conditioner wasn't working, but it was it was warm in the building, but not uncomfortable as they had ceiling fans going and we sat near one and we were comfortable. I just mentioned it because that was a first impression. Friendly welcome from Hannah, and her energetic , outgoing personality made us feel welcome and appreciated. She got us situated and asked if we had ever been (no), ten proceeded to explain the specials, told us what they had for drinks and asked if we would like to try the Phat Daddy's splash? Yes! Please! Apparently, it is a drink with juice, ice tea, and lemonade, if I remember correctly, was awesome! While she got the drinks we decided what we wanted to eat and when she returned we ordered. We had the Mac and cheese wrap, 1 with chicken and the other pork with fries and the chopped cheese sandwich with fries. It took a little time, and when everything came out, it was fresh, hot, and super delicious. We gorged ourselves, which was kind of sad, because Hannah let us know from the beginning that she had 6 layer chocolate cake, carrot cake and a bundt cake, all homemade. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try any of the desserts, I was too full from the excellent wrap and fries. But I am determined to get back there and get dessert too, even if I have to order it first.

We are here passing through and stopped based on reviews. They were a little short staffed and out of quite a few options, but the food we did get was very good. I would definitely give them a second shot next time we pass through town.

Best Smoked BBQ I’ve ever had.
Quality, passion, and love are key ingredients in every single thing we ordered from here. This little spot is a MUST try in Charleston. The price is so great for the amount of food, the flavors are next level, and the positive energy shared from the people who work there are all unmatched. This will be our go to in every road trip when we are passing through. There was not a single thing we liked more than the next because it was all delicious. 1000/10.

Happened to stumble on it while on a road trip. 100% with the stop. Everything is made in house. House made bbq sauce, spices mayo and they had a house made hot sauce. Food was amazing. My brother had the brisket sandwich, which is what drew us in from looking online. I had the rosemary ribs sandwich. Overall it was a solid 4.6. Definitely worth the visit if you’re in town
