The Anderson Cottage Bed & Breakfast - Warm Springs, Virginia

Last week I spent a couple of nights at historic Anderson Cottage. I had reserved the oldest set of rooms in this historic, 200-year old home. Furnished with a fascinating collection of furnishings, paintings and musical instruments, my suite consisted of a living room, bedroom and bath which were very comfortable and suited me well--I felt at home right away. My hosts, Matt and Alma were delightful hosts. The breakfasts cooked by Alma were not your average B&B fare--they were based on recipes from Alma's grandmother, original and very tasty. I really enjoyed my stay here and hope to return next year.

My husband and I were looking for a place that was old, historic, well maintained and peaceful. Well, Anderson's Inn had it all! The suite we stayed in for 3 days was large, super clean and very comfortable! Full of antiques, original plank floors and fireplaces.||Matt and Alma, along with little daughter, Ava were delightful! So friendly and accommodating. The grounds were beautiful, with a warm creek running through the back yard. One of the highlights of this stay was Matt and Alma's home cooked gourmet breakfasts! We will certainly stay here again, if we return to this area!

We've previouslly stayed at The Anderson Cottage. Each time the hosts very gracious and supportive in our stay. Making it very enjoyable. The rooms are roomy and clean. The breakfasts are fantastic, delicious and satsifying. We highly recommend The Anderson Cottage.

We highly recommend Anderson Cottage! Owners Matt and Alma are excellent hosts - very attentive to guests while tending to their beautiful newborn! It is very close to great paddling, hiking, and biking, and we took advantage of every adventure. We also enjoyed the restorative hot spring on the property! If you are looking for a relaxing getaway in a charming home that takes you back in time, this is the place. The breakfasts are amazing - especially when enjoyed on the spacious porch😊

We stayed in the Garden Suite. It was lovely. Large sitting room with a gas fireplace that made it toasty. Large bedroom. Large bathroom. Nice decor and lots of old fixtures to reinforce the fact that the building is over 200 years old. The hosts were very gracious. The breakfast was delicious!

Walking distance to the Waterwheel Restaurant and the Jefferson Pools.

The stay in the Garden Suite is to DIE FOR! Matt, the husband of the couple who operates this lovely B&B, is a gem. Personally cooked a wonderful breakfast and made sure we had everything we needed.

The porch off the suite facing the lawn garden is stunning with the water rushing in the background. I woke up every morning and sat out there, listened to the water with fresh coffee and enjoyed the songs of the birds.

I got what I came for. Tranquility.

Went to get away from the city and do some Alleghany hiking.i love to stay in historical places. Anderson Cottage in Warm Springs, VA built around 1790 certainly fits the bill. COVID 19 precautions are firmly in place. Breakfast is on the wrap around porch or brought to your door if preferred. The grounds allow for relaxation and the creek is definitely warm. Very good restaurants are close and the hiking opportunities are abundant. I would definitely go again. Hosts are accommodating though conversations were all outside about 10 feet apart.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Anderson. The owners (Matt and Alma) were so accommodating, warm, and wonderful. Everything was clean and cozy. The included breakfast was delicious! The location was close to a ton of awesome hiking trails, lakes, rivers, and creeks (there was a warm Creek right on the property too!). Overall, it was a perfect experience thanks to my stay at this lovely B&B.
