Got the #5 pork sandwich and a taro bobba smoothie and it was delicious. The sandwich had a great crispy bun and the pork was seasoned and in a delicious sauce. Great stop.

We had a lovely experience! The lady at the register told us since it was our first time, to order one sandwich and one soup to try both and they were delightful! As well as the desserts! But the lychee smoothie was one of the best things I've had, strongly recommend it!

Everyone was so nice, the food was amazing. The lady working recommended the best sandwich to my friend and noodle bowl for me. We also got crab rangoons. Didn't get a picture of my friend's sandwich. We will definitely be adding it to our lunch spot rotation.

Man I love this place! Yen’s sandwiches is one of the best restaurants in South Charleston when it comes to Asian food. The sandwiches are cheap and the stew is second to none. I like the automated ordering that they have now so you can just put what you want, pay and then sit and wait for your food. The smoothies are the best. Every flavor is good because I’ve had them all. The atmosphere is comfortable and cozy. Space is limited but you should be able to find a seat espeically if it’s nice outside. Don’t skip out on this little treat next to the Mound!

A wonderful experience.

I was walking through the neighborhood and caught an incredible smell. I followed my nose to Yen's Sandwiches, and boy I'm glad I did!

The staff were extremely kind and helpful. Cash transactions are handled at the counter while credit/debit are done at a digital screen. It's was easy to make my order and pay with my credit card.

I choose the beef and lemon grass bánh mì. It was great!! 👌 Succulent and tangy 👌 the sauce was awesome and everything tasted fresh, from the vegetables to the beef. The bread had a satisfying crunch and a warm soft center.

Also, don't neglect the drink and desert menu. There are some really fun choices there and unique treats.

Yen's Sandwiches had earned apin on my map and will be a must visit whenever I am in the area.

I've had banh mi from around the country and these are easily the best. My wife is from Vietnam and she feels the same. Lots of other great dishes, too. Excellent banh rieu. Fairly authentic with the ingredients available in a small, West Virginia town.

EDIT: Yen's has changes owners since my last review. The food has changed. Lots of new items added to the menu. The quality hasn't changed, though. Still the best banh mi I can find. My favorites are the egg and the tuna but they're all good. Today, we changed it up a bit and got the spicy chicken curry and the Bún bò xào (egg roll and beef with rice noodles). Both were excellent. I can't recommend Yen's enough. If you want to try some authentic Vietnamese flavors made with Americanized ingredients (no tendon or blood cakes, unfortunately), give them a try.

This was our first time here and it was amazing. My husband and I both had the Pho Noodle Soup and it was so very good. Service was quick and super nice. Will definitely be back.
